AMAZING!! We have been missing out by not going here. From the Spicy Pork over rice, French fries with side dipping, outstanding spring rolls..... Then ... Drum roll...... Finished off with a perfect desert that blew me away... Basic but PERFECT! Beautiful place and even more beautiful people who have a great story behind the name and concept.... If you haven't noticed... Big fan... First time here and many trips back! Food was fresh and simply amazing!!! Loved it!

Get the chicken Roti!! The meat falls off the bones. Most Vietnamese places deep fry their chicken, this place oven roast theirs. The owner said they're here to promote a more healthier Vietnamese dishes. Will come back!

Upon returning here for the 4th time, I must report that the level of service far exceeds what I have experienced at any restaurant or just about any establishment for that matter. I want to let others know just how awesome this place truly is. The cooks or owners went far above and beyond to accommodate us. eleven46 kitchen deserves to have an extra star (by that, I mean 6) because they are seriously that awesome and the food is outstanding! To the staff/owners: we already thought you were great but thanks so much for going out of your way to ensure that our experience was satisfactory. We will continue to spread the word about your service, food, and the all around exceptional experience provided by eleven46 kitchen -and, of course, we will be back. P.S. The beignets are phenomenal! :)

Food here is very delicious! Service was great! The staff are very friendly, and the wait was short. Great experience overall!

Looking for a great banh mi (spicy pork)sandwich? This is the place! The coffee is REALLY GOOD too! Quality vietnamese food and not too expensive is good combination.

Not only is the food great but the service is too! I had called one night to order take-out and they were closed...but instead of turning me away they still took my order. I appreciated this so much! If you haven't been here before take the time to check it out. Try the lemongrass beef, spicy pork and rotisserie chicken. The beignets are light and fluffy and honestly, everything else I've had has hit the spot.

I just had to bring the family and see what this place was all about. It's highly rated for a reason, and I am SO happy to have them so close to home, and I hope they are here to stay. I always start off with shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls are a good size and stuffed well, with fresh, clean tasting shrimp (I say clean tasting shrimp, because I've had one elsewhere that was clearly fishy and no longer fresh...yuck!) Speaking of rolls, they give you some soft and yummy, freshly baked dinner rolls to start. They also bake their own baguettes, how awesome is that? I've had the noodles with the lemongrass beef, and the spicy pork. Both are delicious! I've had those meals with sweet potato fries, and the asian slaw, which are also good. The Pho is yummy, served only on Wednesdays, and the Dunk & Dip sandwich is roll your eyes delicious! Prices are great and the portion is worth your money. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, order the thai iced tea. The thai iced tea is brewed daily...it's wonderful, like a Starbucks latte. Eleven46's thai iced tea is THE BEST, I have ever had. Perfect amount of sweetness, to the cream, to the tea. Nothing like those watery and kill your teeth, sweet teas I've had at other restaurants. Trust me on this, and order the XL while you're at it. The large thai iced tea is more like a medium/grande at SB, and with the tea being so delicious, you'll wish you had more. If you want something stronger and just as awesome, you've gotta have the Vietnamese iced coffee. Can you say, YUM?? We are HOOKED on the beignets too. We recently went to Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney; I must say...we actually liked Eleven46's beignets better. Try them out! They're only three for two dollars and fifty cents. You'll be a regular here like everyone else in no time. Eat up and enjoy! OH! The staff here are the friendliest EVER. I had my hands full with a toddler, and an infant in the carrier while picking up my to go order. They walked me out to the car! They recognize you, and really are very personable. LOVE them.

Eleven46 is GREAT! I llove how the name for the restaurant was born. (you can read about that on the back of their menu). Pho is served on Wed & Sat only. Fortunately I went on Wednesday and was thrilled w/the beef PHO, which is fantastic. You can taste the generations of love passed down through the broth. Hubby had the tri-tip banh-mi with Asian au jus. He loved it.

Like the food and service here! When they just opened, went there with my coworker, got discount for showing company's badge, and got free dessert for being first time customer. Went there later, ordered to-go, they offered a cup of soup during the wait.

As others have said, this place is in the middle of a nondescript strip mall so hard to find. But, it's definitely worth a try. I had the roti chicken which was absolutely huge for $8 and some change. Came with rice, salad and tasty dipping sauce. I've been here several times now and each time the food is good, service very friendly and everything is clean. Given the restaurant name doesn't really relate to the food and there are 4-5 other restaurants in this same small center , they don't seem to be very busy. I hope their business picks up as they really do deserve to thrive given good food at a great value.

This was okay...nothing special. However, the shrimp chips were excellent. Vietnamese iced coffee - so/so, bahn mi - so-so, wonton soup - so/so...service was slow. Friendly staff but very slow service. Also, people on Yelp always talk about the beignets here and they really are nothing special. They are too dense. Even the Vietnamese style beignet at Lee's are lighter sand the more unique beignets at places like Ramos House in SJC are tastier and more flavorful.

This place is beyond amazing! Absolutely wonderful service. The food is fabulous too! Being Vietnamese myself, I'm very picky about Vietnamese restaurants. My friend and I split the spicy pork with rice and the special banh mi sandwich. Both came with sides, so we ordered the shrimp chips and sweet potato fries. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. On top of all that, we got free dinner rolls and beignets. I can't say enough good things about this place. I hope they drum up enough business. I would hate to see another quality, non-chain restaurant leave that center.

We have been looking for a place in South OC with good beignets and coffee for a very long time. Finally, it's here! I read about it in a review in OC Weekly and decided to give it a try today. I concur with my fellow Yelpers who have reviewed this place. It is a great find! Quality food and fantastic service. They are still new so it is still a "soft opening" but the food is there and though the service is not smooth, it is not without the staff trying their best to please and attitude counts a lot in my book. Now for the food. I ordered the dip and dunk tri-tip sandwich and won ton soup. My wife the veggie spring roll. The sandwich came with 2 dipping sauces, au jus and a spicy mayo. Good portions, good bread, and the tri-tip was tender. The spicy mayo dipping sauce was especially good. Next time I'll order the fries to dip with this sauce! Everything about the sandwich was spot on. My wife liked her veggie spring roll, though it is hard to mess up a spring roll. Then we had the beignets, which we ordered with coffee. This was actually the raison d'etere for trying this restaurant. We have been looking for a place that served beignets in the South County area for a very long time! Well the time has come and we now have found our place! Excellent beignets, just as we hoped it would be. But the kicker is that the coffee was excellent as well. And when we asked for milk to drink with our coffee, the milk came already warmed up as it would in any establishment that really knows about how to serve coffee. This told be that Eleven46 was a special place. ll be a regular stop for us. Try it, you'll like it!

Stumble into this place as I felt a need to et Vietnamese food. This is not your typical pho place. This place felt like chipotle version of Vietnamese food. The service is great and the food is good too. Definitely will try again.

Cheesecake Factory sized portions and super friendly staff. I had the Chicken Roti with brown rice and sweet potato fries for $7.95. Very high quality food for about half what it would cost in a fancy restaurant. The owner was greeting customers saying if they didn't have enough food, he would give them more! Last time I had the cold noodles, which I probably won't get again but the slaw was great.

Felt like eating something other than fast food for my lunch break on Saturday, so I yelped one $ sign places and ended up here. It smelled delicious when I walked through the door. I ordered the spicy pork with rice, (I'm eating the leftovers as I type this) and was not disappointed. The pork packed a good kick to the mouth of spiciness and the pickled veggies were really nice for cleaning the palate between bites. The pork is really tender with a sweet, spicy, garlic flavoring that really worked nicely together. I ordered the sweet potato fries upon the chef's recommendation and ended up with a basket of fries that was easily enough for two. I will say that the fries were a little bit soggy, but I think some people enjoy them like that, good none the less; but I was too busy eating the pork to care about anything else. The portions were extremely generous for the money. I'll be back again when I work this area and I'm gonna try the chicken roti. It sounds delicious.

I signed up for yelp just to review this restaurant. The food here is just excellent. The lemongrass beef is tender and fragrant, the pork paté sandwich is to die for, and the portions are more than generous. They fry the beignets fresh to order, and dust them in that heavenly sugar. It's hard to wait until you get home to gobble them down. Besides the food, the staff is friendly and the kitchen is sparkling clean. You can't beat the price, either. A+

This place is amazing!! Had the tri-tip bánh mì and the spicy pork plate....SO good! The Vietnamese iced coffee was freshly brewed to order and they gave us free coffee and beignets! Please come try this place you won't regret it. :) It is so nice to have a spot this good so close to home! Update: went for a second time yesterday, equally as delicious. I must say too, the service here cannot be beat. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home which I feel is very rare anymore. If you haven't yet, go try it!

Great little Vietnamese place in Foothill Ranch, its close to work and reasonably priced, the spicy pork is great and one of my co workers gets the Chicken Roti every time. The owners are very nice and show that they do appreciate your business.

The food is great, the service better. Family owned using family recipes. Everything is delicious and fresh. Beef stew on Monday nights, wow. Pho on Wednesday nights, wow. No MSG, just care in preparation.

  • Gene R.

I was a little reluctant to try this place because of the prices: $5.50-$7.50 for banh mi? So many positive reviews, though.... The place is very nice: a great atmosphere, nicely decorate - South OC standard. The staff was very warm and friendly. The Thai Ice Tea was different than what I'm used to. It wasn't bad, it just didn't taste like "Thai Ice Tea". I ordered the "Special" - Vietnamese cold cut combo - and my boys ordered Spicy Pork and lemongrass beef. The fillings were very generous. The pork and beef were very savory. Boys ordered french fries which were fresh and tasty. Overall, the food was very good, but not exceptional. I worked in Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Garden Grove ("Little Saigon") for many years and the prices at Eleven46 are very steep. The place was nice, the staff was awesome (oops! my boy spilled his drink and they handled this in a very friendly manner.) It is South OC, though, and I guess that's what you pay for.

Great food. We came in late and they still served us. Though, I wish they served more meat with their meals. It was a little on the small side. Other then that, great service and great food.

  • Edmund G.

Great food and fast service. Make sure you order the dessert about 10-15 before you want to eat it. Pho is only served on Wednesdays. Wish they would change that. They need more staff to keep up with the people and keep the place cleaner. Will go back again.

Love! I really like the flavors in Vietnamese food, but so often the execution is lacking in quality and freshness. This place is really exceptional, and strikes the perfect balance to appeal to all kinds of customers. Plus, it is counter service so I feel comfortable bringing my family here (unlike the previous two restaurants that were in this location). The bun (cold noodles) were my favorite dish. There is so much freshness and flavor in each bite! Try it with the lemongrass beef, spicy pork, or grilled chicken. I also loved the fermented radish and carrot served on the side of the dishes. The sweet potato fries and slaw sides are both exceptional and perfectly prepared. Finally, the beignets were freshly made, hot and to die for. I have not had beignets anywhere else in South County, so that was a real treat. The day we went they were out of the roti chicken. That is my next thing to try, and I probably won't be able to resist going in the next week. This is definitely the best new restaurant in south county for a long time!

Very excited to try this place... Had noodle and pork (awesome) lots of fresh mint beignets and spring rolls. All fresh tasting. Way too much food ! Reasonable price. Kids meal is 5 bucks.

I went here with my son and fiancé for dinner. The food was well prepared and delicious. The beignets were fluffy n light n delicious. The service was outstanding, as everyone there made sure we were enjoying ourselves and our food. We will definitely be coming back and we will recommend this restaurant to all our friends.

Their plates are great. The chicken roti's a great value and tastes great. Half an awesome chicken and a ton of sides for 8 bucks. The owner said their beneigh (square donuts) are a hot commodity and decided to try it out. Yes it is pretty awesome.

  • Chau B.

The Banh Mi Cha Lua is good, but at almost $6 it is definitely the most expensive I have ever had. I don't think it's worth it. Banh mi should be around $3.

I have nothing but good things to say about Eleven46 Kitchen in Foothill Ranch. The portions are generous, the price is right, and the food is fantastically flavorful. But what truly deserves applause is the owner, who is clearly committed to delivering top-notch service to his customers. Every time I go there, he throws in a little extra something to make the experience special - i.e. blended iced Thai iced tea, sweet chrispy churros, etc. He always takes his time time to stop by your table and chat a bit. I have a wonderful experience every time I visit, and I will most certainly continue to go back.

If you want an "authentic" Banh Mi, this is not a place for you. Personally, I don't like it, very expensive too.

Love the food. Really nice people; they make it a homey atmosphere. Vietnamese sandwich and BBQ pork are excellent.

This place was surprisingly good. It's a little on the pricey side but the portion size was plenty and this is south Orange County. The person taking my order was super friendly and the food was great. Will definitely be back if I'm in the neighborhood.

Highly recommend. The Chicken Roti is flavorful, moist and huge. No dipping sauces required. The grilled chicken breast is only seasoned with salt and pepper so that's where all the xtra sauces can come in. The tri-tip sandwich is simple yet very tasty. As is the asian slaw, subtle but flavorful. Sevice is friendly and attentive. This place will definitely be in my weekly rotation.

Tried this for lunch after reading reviews and was very happy I did. I have never tried Bahn Mi sandwiches, so I have nothing to compare it with, but it all seemed very fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I got the Spicy Pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and the bread was just finished baking when I ordered, so the owner(?) came out and offered me fresh roll while I was waiting. The pork was seasoned just right and very tender and the the fries with the spicy dipping sauce were delicious. I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which was not overly sweet or sugary. Going to come back and try other dishes soon!

First time, last time visiting. Ordered the banh mi and was very disappointed. For the price I paid, I would have expected more flavor from the sandwich. Vegetables were not marinated long enough and wasn't that much meat in the sandwich., Had to wait 30 minutes for a sandwich to go when the restaurant only had 3 parties there.

First time here. Great veg banh mi and spring rolls, friendly staff. Total was $11, so I don't see why anyone complains about prices. I'll be back soon

Great little place! They don't have signage yet so it's a bit hard to find. It's next to the japanese place in that little shopping mall off Auto Center Drive. It's run by a husband/wife team - they are super cute. We got the #1 sandwich as well as spicy pork on noodles. That came with a side - we opted for the sweet potato fries. Everything was HUGE and TASTY! Also tried their beignets - very pillowy and yum as well. As someone else mentioned, they are brand spanking new so they are working out the kinks. The wait for ordering and food can be a bit long, but I'm hoping as they grow in popularity, they will hire some help. Will definitely come back!

We had a family dinner at Eleven46 Kitchen and it was soooo yummy. We ordered the lemongrass beef noodles, roti chicken and shrimp rolls. It was so tasty and fresh. the beignets were so good that we ordered one more...

BEST food in Foothill Ranch and a top 5 for me in all of OC! The menu is simple, the food is absolutely delicious but most importantly, the service is outstanding. I've had the Spicy Pork, Lemongrass Beef and Teriyaki Chicken which all make my mouth water just thinking about them. Whether I'm ordering the Bun noodles, simple sticky rice or Banh Mi sandwich, I'm never disappointed. On occasion there is a wait but its well worth every minute and the food tastes that much better when you sink your teeth in. If you have never tried Vietnamese food, this is a perfect place to start! Thank you to the owners and staff for bringing such a delightful eatery to our area! If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Been waiting for a spot like this since I moved to south county. All the flavors that reminds me of great authentic Vietnamese food but add amazing quality and great portions. Essentially...GREAT FOOD! I had the spicy pork banh mi and my wife had the ga roti. We also had the vietnamese coffee and beignets to top it off. My favorite was the spicy pork banh mi but I would definitely order any of the items again in a heartbeat.

I stopped by this place because I wanted a place to go to after my tournament nearby. It was delicious! I was very surprised. I heard from my friends from the area that this place just opened and they loved the food, so I thought I would try it. I was hesitant at first because I usually like my Vietnamese food cooked a certain way but I decided to try it because of the raving reviews from my friends. The people were extremely nice and I felt really welcomed when I entered. The food, specifically the French Beignets, was literally the best I have tried yet! Eating it with coffee was delicious! The inside was extremely clean and the decor was very pleasant to the eye. The price for the items were very cheap for the amount of food they provide! I can't wait to come back to try the other items on the menu! GO TRY THE FOOD! SO GOOD!

What a great find this joint is! My husband and I stopped by to see what business had moved in to our old go-to Thai restaurant's spot and were pleased to see a Vietnamese restaurant. The owner spotted us reading the menu so he explained the whole thing, brought us samples of each of the meats, brought us sweet rolls to munch on, brewed us cups of hot tea and gave us some divine beignets for a snack. This was all before we even ordered our food! We got spicy pork for the hubs, teriyaki chicken for me and roti chicken for my mother, all of which were gigantic portions and delicious. I warned the owner that my mother doesn't like salt, so if she found what I was bringing her to be salty, she was sure to complain, and he said, "If she doesn't like it, call me and I'll make her something else!" I like that! And her dinner was indeed not too salty for her (which is amazing...) We will be back for sure.

Overall their food is pretty good. I keep coming back for the lemongrass beef with noodles. The only negative is they aren't very organized behind the counter. If you're getting to-go, I would recommended calling to order ahead. Also minus a star because they stopped serving dinner rolls. Those were soooo good! I asked why and the cashier guy said he wasn't sure but thinks they didn't have time to make them anymore (weird).

Contrary to what other reviewers experienced....I had a PRETTY LOUSY & DISAPPOINTING SERVICE....!!!! which is really unfortunate because the food is pretty darn good........but no food is good enough to make up for pathetic service... I got there around 6pm and the place is pretty much empty except for 1 table... Waited 30 minutes for my order while there is only 1 table with 4 people when I came in....then as soon as I'm done ordering, there were like 3 other groups came in and they got their food before me...WTF ???? Everyone seems tensed....and disorganized in the kitchen....I think they forgot to put in my order.... The cashier taking my order was very unfriendly....no smile whatsoever ...kept getting my order wrong but gave me attitude....and when finally my food arrived, no apology was offered for the long wait whatsoever.... OK... as far as the food goes - SPICY PORK very flavorful, fresh and good portion **** 5 STAR ***** - CHICKEN ROTI tender, good flavor but not that impressive *** 3 STAR *** So I would've given this place a 4 STAR for the food alone, but since this is an overall rating of the experience I had to deduct 2 points off for the service I'd like to give them another shot since I want to try other things there, but given this bitter experience I think this place will be my last resort...which is too bad *** Note that I did come back a couple more times hoping for a better outcome but the experience was still underwhelming ***

I came here with an open mind since my man was so proud of himself for finding it and suggested we try it for dinner. Sorry big guy, not your fault this place was a complete miss. The story that was painted about their familial roots and how the restaurant came about after their struggles and carrying on home recipes passed down from the mother is a nice attempt but, this same story is a dime a dozen. Not all Vietnamese immigrants strive for this so-called "American Dream" of owning a restaurant and many that do manage to achieve this dream, were not all meant to be restaurateurs. Sorry but stories alone don't sell the food. This eatery is definitely a far cry from being good "authentic" Vietnamese food as some people have claimed it to be on here. What were they thinking? I mean how could it possibly be authentic if there's french fries and sweet potato fries on the menu? Of course, those reviews were from people with an inexperienced palate for true authentic Vietnamese food. Two non-Vietnanese girls with LONG black hair behind the counter greeted us with a smile and said they'd be right with us. As we were looking at the menu on the wall behind the counter, I couldn't help but look over at the glass case where all of the food was being plated. It was good to see that the girl had gloves on while she was getting the food with her hands to build the plate...but at the same time I became utterly disgusted when she hovered over the food vessels with her long locks and then used her same gloved hands to sweep her bangs across her forehead and tuck the strands behind her ear. The other girl pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket with gloves on and checked it. Then both girls came over to the counter with their gloved hands to take our order. ICK! I know Vietnamese restaurants are not the cleanest but, as we witnessed this happening, our appetites diminished. I grew paranoid and hesitantly ordered the rice plate with Mother's Chicken and a side of Asian slaw. Meh...it didn't taste so great and giving me a lot of it isn't going make me like it any better. The slaw was just shredded cabbage and vinegary fish sauce with some fried shallots and RAW crushed peanuts that was also sprinkled on the chicken too. My man ordered the Chicken Roti but they sold out. (they probably sold the last one to Chong Lee K who raved about this place). So instead he settled for the lemon grass beef rice plate with a side of shrimp chips (an odd & cheap side option). They should have called it the onion and pepper beef with RAW crushed peanuts instead since he got mostly onions and maybe 5 small slivers of beef that had no lemon grass flavor at all. I felt bad he got gypped on the meat so I gave him two large pieces of chicken from my plate that I wasn't going to miss at all. My 7yo daughter tried to play it safe and had the shrimp spring rolls. Even she was paranoid like I was, that she was going to find hair in her food! The rolls were just okay since you really can't go wrong with these or so I thought...The dipping sauce is usually what makes a spring roll but it was a total miss as it looked like dark oily hoisin sauce straight from the bottle with RAW crushed peanuts and sliced white onions ...weird... While sitting at the table right next to the food prep counter, we also saw the girls deliver the food with the same gloves on and stopped by other tables to check on patrons and placed their gloved hands on the chair backs and tabletops and then returned to fill more food orders. The same food safety violations were repeated by both girls. Just a simple suggestion to the owner: training on food safety and handling is a MUST with all of the hair pulled back in NETS whether the food prep station is clearly visible or not! Otherwise keep these girls' job responsibilities strictly as hostesses/cashiers. If things can't get any worse...It did. After our food was delivered, I went over to get silverware and napkins and this lady comes out of the bathroom and approached me and told me that the toilet was not flushing...I thought really? Do I look like I work here just because I am Asian? I just politely told her that I'm sorry but, I don't work here.. and then I heard the owner/cook tell the girls to take over the stove so he was going to take care of the bathroom...Eww GROSS... I could have done without hearing that too...my man said he hoped he washed his hands...(shaking my head). Throughout our time here, my man said it's okay if you want to just cancel our order and leave, but I felt bad because he chose this place to try out and I stuck around to give this place a fair shake and prayed I didn't find hair in my food, vomit in the middle of dining, or get sick afterwards...NEVER EVER again are we returning here because there is nothing good going on at this establishment when safe food handling practice isn't observed and the minuscule detail of simply toasting the peanuts is overlooked.

Wow, so much food. All of the meats so far are great. I would probably pick the lemongrass beef or spicy pork. They are nice with a salad or their perfect ban mi. The bread is exceptional. They also have these little tasty buns that are nice to pop in your mouth. The Vietnamese coffee is really tasty as well. The owner kept bringing us more items to try. We were so full we could hardly walk. ;0) The hospitality was great. They got the ordering down now after being there a few times.

My family and I have been here many times for beignets and coffee. The staff is very nice and attentive. They even brought us beignets shaped like sea animals just to be nice at the end for my 1 and 4 year old daughters.

Yummy delicious!!! The restaurant is nice and clean, and the decor is very much different from your typical Vietnamese restaurant (a plus in my book). The food is great. I had the chicken roti. The portion is BIG! I made 2 meals out of mine, granted I shouldn't have a big snack prior to coming...keke. I had my beignets to go...don't, eat them there even if you're stuffed o_O. They're freshly made for you to enjoy with your cup of coffee! The price is definitely right for the meal, especially with the portion that is served. Definitely will have to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Food is great but can they please provide an ounce of customer service here. Every time I come in they take forever to get anything accomplished, and this occurs whether or not they are busy. I went In here with no other customers and still had to wait for approximately 10 minutes till the owner was ready to take my order. 5 stars for food 0 for service = 3.5 average in my book.

Super delicious - super authentic. It's a family-owned business and their first restaurant. So they're still getting up to speed on efficiencies which may delay food delivery a bit but it's more than worth it.

I've come here a handful of times for lunch over the past month. The food is amazing and the people who work here are all extremely friendly and hospitable. The pat 3 times I have come in I have been offered tasters of soup spring rolls or amazing beingnets while I wait. Every time I walk in the door I am greeted with a smile. I usually get the spicy pork sandwich or the spicy pork noodles. The tables and dining are always clean and there is usually plenty of room to sit. The food is all very healthy and fresh. The Coffee is hands down the best I've ever had! Love this place!

Not bad! I tried the #1 Special, which is your typical cold cut pork banh mi. All the ingredients were great, they make their own bread, and it's all paired well together. I also had the beignets which they fry fresh to order, as well as a Vietnamese iced coffee. It's a family run place and they're clearly still getting set up, my order took quite a while and some people came in while I was there and kind of just had to stand there for ... maybe 5 full minutes before anyone greeted them. I think they'll get there but it's definitely at that soft launch phase where they're still learning how to run the place. The coffee was great, but I'd say just a bit too expensive for what you get. I think it was around $2.50 or 2.75 for an 8oz serving. It seems like they should be able to serve a reasonable 16oz size for that price (espresso+condensed milk should be pretty cheap). But whatever, it was still good. The banh mi was great, the only thing I didn't care for was that there was a sweetness I couldn't place. It was either from the pate or mayo, but it was a bit much for me. It tasted like sugar was added. I don't tend to like any sweetness in my savory, so it was just a bit offputting for my specific palette. But again, still delicious. Them baking their own fresh baguettes makes this place worth visiting. Last but not least the beignets. They were great, and cooked to order. You can't get much better unless you go to New Orleans. I do think they were a bit skimpy with the powdered sugar, though. I like mine completely covered with a snow drift. :) I'll definitely be back to try more!

This place is somewhat new, but still isn't as busy as it should be. Great food and great service. Hopefully more people find out about this place. Simple straightforward menu with all good items!

Delicious! They had just opened for about a week, but everything we had was tasty, hot and there was lots. Well worth the price! Only reason I didn't score it to a 5 was because it took awhile...which was due to them not fully staffed/ready... Coffee was THE BOMB! Would've had another if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted to get some semblance of sleep that night. haha Wife and I had the pork and the roti chicken. VERY tasty. Beignets were fresh and hot...perfect with the coffee. Will definately be back!

Great place to eat in the area. Service is great and food is always fresh. I always order the lemongrass beef with rice, and the husband always get the spicy pork sandwich. Their Pho is also the best in the area.

I go here about once a month and always get the tri tip sandwiches with dipping sauce is the best I've ever had!!!! every time family visits i take them here just for these sandwiches. it's CLEAN, classy with a humbling feel. menu looks small but its a mix n match and when the food comes out, the siZe portions are very filling. also love the story behind their restaurant. 1146 was their address of their home. Its def family love expressed into food.

This place is pretty good for Vietnamese food. Not as authentic but given that the owner was super nice, informative, and the service was good, it gets four stars. The bun noodles with lemongrass beef was good. The owner allowed me to mix and match and order bun noodles with egg rolls, which was a delicious choice. I like my bun noodles with some peanuts and better lettuce variety but this place wasn't bad. The beignets were amazing and a must order! The grilled pork spring rolls were delicious and impressive given I base my standards on ones I get in Westminster. Overall a nice place to go when you want to change it up a bit for dinner.

I eat here a few times a week. While I'm not a big fan of Vietnamese food, I come here for the friendly service, fresh food ingredients and proximity to work. They have one of the best versions of the French Dip I've tried and their beignets are great. The owner experiments with new creations often allowing patrons to sample new products. He also makes a mean cup of coffee adding a unique and personal touch to almost everything created at the restaurant.

I can only hope that this place stays around. The first time I went, I ordered 3 orders of beignets to go. They were fairly comparable to those of Cafe du Monde in New Orleans and at 3 for $2.50, not a bad deal! Tonight (1/23) we went to try their dinners. I called it in and it was ready to go within 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken roti with bread and fries, Mom's chicken on noodles and the Asian slaw, and an order of beignets. When I went to pick it up, they quickly threw the beignets in the fryer so they were fresh. And boy, were they fresh! My only regret was not taking pictures before we dove into our meals. We had to eat the beignets while they were warm and they were, again, VERY good. My husband opened the to go box and the large compartment was overflowing with a giant half chicken! He went to give me a piece and the chicken just fell right off of the bone. It was so juicy and tender! Our 10 month old loved shoving pieces of it into his mouth. The fries could have been a little more crispy and seasoned but just a minor detail compared to the rest of the meal. The bread was soft and flaky. It also came with a small mixed greens. I ordered Mom's chicken on the noodles. The marinade was so delicious and the meat was amazingly tender. The noodles were a nice, cool contrast to the sweetness of the chicken. It was lightly mixed with some salad greens and I think green onions and perhaps mint? The Asian slaw was amazing. The dressing was tart and tangy and yet sweet and well balanced. I ended up eating the greens that came with the chicken roti with the remainder of the dressing for my slaw, it was THAT good. In all, we were very impressed and happy. We have enough for 2 more meals and so at a price of nearly $5 a meal, (our total was $20.95), who could complain? I hope that I didn't jinx them though; we have a reputation of really loving a place and then they go out of business. There were only two people in the restaurant when I went to pick it up (Thursday at 6 PM). We will eat there weekly if it helps them stay in the area!!! :)

The food tasted great and the service was good. We were welcomed with two bowls of soup before our order arrives, even though they weren't included in the menu when I ordered, or I didn't see it!! Anyway, the food tastes pretty good and the price is reasonable :)

I usually don't write reviews but I felt like I had to for this one. Just had this for lunch with a friend, saw the reviews and wanted to check it out. Got here during the lunch rush so it was a bit busy, no worries, understandable. The food was edible but not that great, or authentic. I would know, I am Vietnamese after all. My friend ordered the noodles with lemongrass beef, it came out without any fish sauce, usually thats what makes a Vietnamese dish. I had the rice and chicken roti, for this dish, the chicken is usually deep fried. My chicken looked like he just grilled it, and threw it on a dish with rice. The owner came over and tried to play it off and asked if it was good, I told him no, and this is usually not how you make it. He tries to save himself saying other places make it wrong and tries to cut shortcuts. No biggie, to each his own. Oh, and the Iced Coffee sucked. The reason why I gave it 2 stars, it was our first time trying it so meh, and the girl taking our order was nice and tried to help us and take our order. It up to you if you want to try it still, i know the other reviews and the ratings make it seem like its great but try a different vietnamese resturant if you want real authentic vietnamese food.

My boyfriend and I came here the other day because he wanted to try something new and I'm glad he chose this place! Right when we walked in, we were greeted with excellent customer service and were even offered sweet buns to sample! They were very good! They fully explained the ordering process to us, and it reminded me of Chipotle but a Vietnamese version of it. That's the first time I've heard of a Vietnamese restaurant do that, since I'm originally from an area nearby Westminster and Garden Grove (the epicenter of authentic Vietnamese cuisine)! We ordered a lot of food to try out! I ordered the Bun (Noodles) with Spicy Pork, a side of Asian Slaw, and Iced Vietnamese Coffee. My boyfriend bought the Brown Rice plate with Chicken Roti, a side of Sweet Potato Fries with a Spicy Aioli Sauce, and Beignets. The food was delicious and the portion sides were huge! Although it's a little more Americanized, it still tasted great for what it was! My Spicy Pork Bun Bowl was very tasty and my boyfriend's Chicken Roti was delicious! I would definitely go back here especially for the great food and customer service!

Love the double dip sandwich! The food was great and the employees were very friendly. They even gave us free dessert because it was our first time at the restaurant. A lot of places seem to come and go in this shopping center. I hope they stay for a long time!

Let me start by saying I have never actually tried Vietnamese food before this. I saw the ratings and thought I'd give it a try. I called to put in a to go order and when the gentleman answered the phone I asked if I could place a to go order. He sounded hesitant. I was shocked. Like really? You are going to say no? Then he said ok. I placed my order. I ordered a create your plate with noodles and spicy pork. My husband chose the dunk and dip tri tip sandwich...his usual favorite anywhere. We also ordered beignets. He said to allow 20 min. I arrived on Friday night at 8:20 and I was expecting a packed bustling restaurant. It was empty and I realized I called at closing which explained the gentleman's hesitation! I felt so bad. He greeted me by name and I was so thankful to them for accepting my order at closing. Wow. You can tell they were ready to head out and just waiting for me. All my food was hot and fresh and the staff was so nice. I was blown away by the inexpensive factor and the fact that they stayed for me that I tipped 50%. So basically service wise....unsurpassed! As far as the food goes I can't rave enough about he quality and freshness and again I don't know how it's supposed to be but it was amazing. The pork was perfect and my husband said it was the best he has ever had! The beignets were to die for even a half hour later! I live in Palm Springs and have been craving eleven 46 ever since then. I sent my husband out for Vietnamese food in town and he referred to yelp to find the best restaurant. Wow. So for the record my second time trying Vietnamese food and now that I have a comparison I can say that eleven 46 is even better than I thought initially because this other desert place was so bland and the noodles were stuck together in one clump. I am still waiting to go back to foothill ranch because I haven't stopped craving it since I was there last!!!!!!!!! A two hour drive is nothing for this amazing place! The decor and ambience is super cute. My only suggestion is longer hours and open 7 days of the week of course;) I could eat here everyday and I would if I lived close by!

Wow. Mom's chicken. That's all I have to say. It is some of the best chicken I have ever had and it has yet to fail me and I don't think it ever will! Also, they serve pho here as well but only on Wednesday and Saturday, but make sure to go early because sometimes they run out! This place is delicious and I hope it stays around for a long time.

LOVE this new place in Foothill Ranch. I have been coming here on average of once per week since they opened. The food is so different from others and quite unique I think. Not only is the Food Fantastic, but the people and family are just the nicest and so darn sweet. They really cater to your every need. They are in a different type of location and wish them just the best. I hope they stick around for years to come! Also, I just signed up with Yelp so I could write this review - that's how impressed I am with them. I don't know them, but they always make me feel like I'm part of the family. Kathy

First time trying this place and my tummy is so happy! First course: shrimp spring rolls! So good, they tasted super fresh and the dipping sauce came out warm and delish! For our entrees I had the spicy pork bun which was excellent, the marinade on the pork was sweet with a little spice and the cook had just enough char on it to amp up the flavor. My hubby had the pho and as soon as I smelled it across the table from me I knew I had to taste. Superb! Easily the best pho I've had. I can't wait till winter so I can eat this all the time! Now on to my two favorite things... The shrimp chips were something out of this world. I will come back here just for those alone (although I did love everything we tried) so crisp and yummy they practically melted on my toung and left the best slight shrimp after taste that I don't think I could get enough of. Do they sell these by the bag?!? The beignets came out hot and fresh and dusted with powdered sugar... Fluffy powdery goodness! These little pillows of love would be amazing paired up with a warm cup of coffee on a cool morning. The atmosphere is hip and casual and the owners are pretty chill. They've got a good thing going here! With all that said, I loved this place and will be back in the near future to try the banh mi and of course eat some more of those dang good shrimp chips!

HUGE fan! This place is a godsend. I'm so happy Eleven46 Kitchen is here in Foothill Ranch. They bring a flavorful and genuine menu to the neighborhood. Portion sizes are very generous, so the pricing is fair. As so far I've tried the Dunk and Dip Tri-Tip which has become very dear to me and my appetite. They load sliced French bread with quality tri-tip then top it with grilled peppers, provolone cheese, and add a nice helping of crispy fried onion strings. Then you figure out a way to manhandle this beast into the special sauce they give you separately. For my own personal taste I ask them to add daikon and carrots, and let me tell you...it brings the sandwich to a whole new level! Ask for the wasabi daikon! This is genius! I wish I knew the recipe to the special wasabi sauce that they use to marinate the daikon in. The fiance also loved his spicy pork and rice plate. Delish!!! All the ingredients they use are fresh and very good quality. I also love that they have special combos where you can have a side dish of either veggies, shrimp chips, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. I've been able to interact with the servers, kitchen staff, and even the head chef/owner in just one visit and everyone is extremely nice. Best customer service in the city =) I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu.

First time here and def not a disappointment. Dunk and Dip Tri Tip was delicious! A bit pricey for a deli sandwich but worth every penny. Wouldn't mind coming here again to check out the rest of their menu. It isn't your typical cheap vietnamese food but I'd pay the price for anything worth eating.

Food was average. Not true Vietnamese food...more fusion I suppose. Not bad for the location though. Staff was not friendly..,border line rude. Basically I would only eat here again if I craved spring rolls and I didn't want to drive to Westminster.

One of the places where you will see the owner when you go to eat because he loves to cook and not just in it to make a profit. South OC palates are going to take some time to get used to places like this but here's to hoping they do soon.

The best vietnamese cuisine in the Mission Viejo area! I've lived in the area for 13+ years and finally a viet restaurant that I'm actually fond of! You can tell the ingredients they use in their food is of higher quality. A++ for the shrimp spring rolls and especially the fresh beignets! Can't wait to try more of their menu...

The food takes a bit longer than usual to prep and that is. Good thing because all the meat is cooked fresh to order. I had a half tofu and steak sandwich alongside two orders of pork spring rolls. And I ordered two orders because even though I was stuffed, they tasted that good. The staff are really nice. Would definitely come back when I am in the area. Gives a nice upgrade to the traditional Vietnamese sandwich.

Absolutely delicious. I am rarely at a loss for words, but it took me a while to find some to describe how good my two meals were (back to back days). I ordered their bun noodles with spicy pork and side of sweet potato fries ($8.95). The noodles were cool and refreshing. There were fragrant mint leaves, sprouts, pickled carrots, and fresh greens on the bottom. Spicy pork topped the noodles. The pork was cooked to order, and had such incredible flavor. This dish came with some sweet and pungent vietnamese dipping sauce that you pour over the top. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. My two suggestions would be for the meat to be cut in smaller pieces (so I can shovel the deliciousness into my face faster...) and for there to be less food (sweet potato fries). I KNOW I KNOW. Who the heck asks for less food? Honestly, though, there was way more food than I could ever hope to eat in one sitting, and I have a huge appetite. Both times I had to get a to-go box for the fries. Destroyed my waistline. The meal ended with the freshest pillowy beignets I've ever had, topped with powdered sugar. Service was over-the-top spectacular. In fact, an older gentleman who worked here even came over to ask me if there was enough meat in my bowl. HECK YES!!! I've seen new restaurants start off strong with huge delicious portions and slowly dwindle in quality as time goes on. I hope this place continues to be as delicious and amazing as day 1! P.S. I'll be back tomorrow night to try their pho (off-menu, but the owner promised he'd prepare some...)

As soon as you walk in you smell delicious food and you're ready to chow. Everyone working there looks like they are one family but it does not have a vibe of a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shop. In fact it's well decorated with modern yet subtle Asian touches. Ordered lemongrass bun with sweet potato fries, special Banh mi, and beignets to go. Although we waited awhile we were given some rolls which reminded me of kings Hawaiian bread but not as sweet. It was really good. Lemongrass bun was yummy. Noodle was perfect and beef was delicious. Sweet potato fries got soggy by the time we got home but it was still good with the spicy sauce. Special Banh mi...wow! I'm gonna have to try all their Banh mi's! It was fantastic. Beignets also got soft and no longer pillowy by the time we got home. Nevertheless it was good. Best to eat there instead of to go unless you order the sandwiches. Will definitely be back. Btw...their story is so sweet. Love supporting small businesses like this.

This place is amazing, the owner with his wife they are the best people I ever seen in my life, nice, kind and very helpful. Their food is delicious there is no way for complaine. They are always busy, becouse people love them and they come from everywhere. I am working in the same shoping centre so after 6 years this is the first resturant I always love to go and order my food because I trust them and their food. I LOVE YOU GUYS :)

I have only been here for dinner so I am not sure how it compares to lunch time (my understanding is that it gets very busy during lunch and not so busy during dinner). I've been here twice and this food is as good as it gets! I get the Lemongrass tofu and rice and have to say that it is my favorite tofu that I have had in a restaurant. It's flavorful and just delicious! The last time we were here just as we were walking out they offered us some beignets and those were absolutely amazing as well! Definitely 5 star worthy as the food and customer service are both fantastic.

Went there with my daughter for the first time. We are both into finding new places that aren't chains with interesting food. This is definitely one of those places. Good food, service, and menu. When I told the owner how much we liked everything he didn't let us leave until he served us two wonderful warm beignets on the house. Perfect ending to a perfect lunch. Can't wait to go back.

Pretty darn good banh mi. I had the special as well as the egg rolls. The banh mi was pretty good. The bread was soft, but not the best I've ever had (I personally like the crispy-outside, soft-inside baguette like the ones Green Peas in Culver City serves). The veg was fresh and the meats were prepared well. I did like the pate and I did like that special sauce they put on their sandwich (is it mayo and sriracha?). I felt like the diakon and carrot could have used a tad more fish sauce. Their egg rolls were very good and fresh. Whoever rolled them is a pro as they were the tightest egg rolls I've ever eaten. Their spicy pork is excellent and juicy. I'll definitely be returning to eat more of that. I'll try the bun version of it next time. The only negative is that they forgot my order. They apologized though by giving us free drinks and desserts.

The guy who worked at the cash register today was so sweet and helpful with my order! I was so overwhelmed with the various choices but he recommended the moms chicken to me which did not disappoint!! I highly recommend it :)The beignets tasted like they were straight out of Paris. I will definitely be coming back soon!

Oh yes!!! A good place for Banh Mi outside of Bolsa! I really like the concept here, and food I ordered today is good enough for me to come back tomorrow to try another item on the menu. The place is still very new...which means they are still working out little kinks here and there, and eventually I hope they find a method that works best for them to make things more efficient. The line got little crowded at lunch (luckily I beat that crowd) The coffee was a little bitter for my liking, but I usually like my coffee very sweet so I think my opinion on coffee should be x'ed lol. Got the #1 Special Banh Mi today and the pate on it was delicious. I also got the beignets which were delightful little fried pillows lol. I saw the wonton salad bowl and it looks so yummy! Thats what I plan on trying soon =)

Lemongrass beef and spicy pork cold noodles are my favorite, I'll come back for more of those. Pho is just ok, I like it better at Pho Majestic (though PM's pho made me thirsty for quite a while). Price is decent, so as the portion. I'd give 5 stars for the service! 4.5 stars for food, but 3 or 2.5 stars for pho.

So I've been doing video reviews of new businesses in the OC, and came here during their soft opening. The first thing I noticed right off the bat is that the interior doesn't look like a typical Vietnamese restaurant: it's very clean, they have some cool black and white photographs hanging and it looks almost like a European restaurant. complete with a with a bar. It's very tasteful. You can probably bring a date here. They don't have as many choices as typical restaurant, but the whole point is so they can keep everything really freshly made, with a simple menu. It's a family run business and everyone was really friendly. The chicken dish was amazing: moist, tender, and very flavorful! And the portions were huge! They also have beignets here! You must try the beignets! Anyway, I'm a fan! Check out the video here: youtube.com/watch?v=mtEM…

Their food is good. If you don't mind waiting forever and a day for it. I came here about a year ago and had the exact same experience which tells me that they haven't learned that they need to hire more staff. I ordered spring rolls and a tofu salad. After 30 minutes I saw the woman who took my order go tell the cook that I'd been waiting too long and he started making my salad. I don't know what system they have that he didn't start making my salad the second the ticket went up. When I got to the restaurant it was empty so there was no reason for it to take so long. When I left it was packed full people staring at their phones and looking irritated because nobody had food. Seriously no food was going out of the kitchen (except takeout). They had 2 people struggling to keep up. It was pretty sad. I won't be going back based on this :(

I have been waiting for an opportunity to try this new restaurant. On Wednesday night I finally had a chance. I called in a to-go order for spring rolls and beignets. I was told it would be about 10 minutes. Ten minutes later I arrived and the spring rolls hadn't been made yet. Annoying. There was no apology, just rung me up and told me the food would be out shortly. 15 minutes later it did come out. I ate the spring rolls when I got home. The filling was pretty good, but I think there was a deep fried green onion in the pork one - that is kind of random but added a crunch to the roll that I liked. The beignets were ok only- might have been better to eat right out of the fryer. My bill was only $7 so that was good, but probably won't be back unless I am in the area and hungry for Vietnamese food.

Went here tonight with a friend (found through yelp) and we loved it! Although it was pretty empty the staff was warm and inviting, and all of the food was delicious. They were very generous and offered additional sauces and condiments without us even thinking of asking. I ordered the roti chicken with rice and sweet potato fries; my friend got the pork with noodles and shrimp chips. The chicken was massive, probably the largest half chicken I've ever seen! Way more than I had thought, which is always a good thing as I love leftovers! Of special note is the spicy dipping sauce they serve with rolls and with fries - that stuff is addicting. I want to try the banh mi next! I work very close by so I will definitely return for lunch. This was a pleasant yelp find once again!

Pork spring roll is the killer appetizer. Also the spicy pork or lemongrass beef with noodle. Best Vietnamese in OC.

The chicken roti (rotisserie) is juicy, succulent, fall-off-the-bone tender, and supremely tasty. I'm salivating here at home just thinking about it! This place has great food at very reasonable prices. They could do to wrap up their core food product with a more articulated story; a story of family, love, food and their mom. This would give a more human context to their amazing food. You can see they already have an inkling of a great story: the huge family pictures on the wall, and calling it Mom's chicken, but it simply ends there and not carried to its logical and beautiful conclusion.

Yummmm... finally ----a Vietnamese Sandwich place outside of Little Saigon that is actually good! Came here at the grand opening, and tried the coffee which was a cup of pure delicious-ness, the pork sandwich, and shared the chicken salad with my friend. Def get the BBQ pork sandwich, very tasty and spicy. The salad looked like it wouldn't be enough for me, but it was really fresh and like the fried shell that it came in. Will definitely come here again. Next time will try the BEIGNETS which looked amazing...!

OMG!!! This place is awesome!!! One of the best vietnamese bistros I've ever had so far! Everything I've tried here so far has been really good, full of flavors. Also the customer service is great and super friendly!

I absolutely love this place, their bread is so fresh and their beignets are amazing! I've had several things here and have loved everything I've had (moms chicken with rice and salad, spicy pork sandwich, beignets), it's one of those places that you feel great after eating because it's al so fresh

Fanrastic! I had the beef pho, Thai iced tea, and beignets! The beignets were to die for!! A must!!!! The Thai iced tea was very good. The beef pho is only served on wed and sat until it is gone. It has a very dark broth and comes with beef thinly sliced and meatball. It was very good but I would try something else next time, there are so many delicious looking things on the menu. They have some very nice looking espresso machines, next time! I'm also curious about their breakfasts. I didn't see any pics or reviews about it, maybe it's new... The story behind the name is awesome, love it!

I had a #1 sandwich, and my wife the tofu + rice plate. Very good food. We finished off with the beignets, which were light and not too sweet. It was a nice, quiet afternoon and the restaurant looked very clean and well designed. The only recommendation I have is that the TV behind the bar was a bit too loud. Other than that, I'd recommend this place for anyone who hasn't been here.

I have NEVER been disappointed by this place. Love the Tri Tip Dunk and Dip and the Beef and Lemongrass! My kids especially like the Orange County Best Tasting Award Winning Spicy Pork Tacos! I especially love love love the Beignets and iced coffee. It's a treat for my family...and my kids are picky eaters...everytime!

I've gone here a couple of times now - enough to constitute a reputable review. I really like their tri tip dip. The au jus is pretty amazing. Sweet potato fries are delicious and come with a spicy sri racha mayo dipping sauce. Spring rolls are good, salads are fresh but I still haven't made it over for pho on Wednesdays. I have my favorite pho spots already and I don't know if I could take another disappointing pho experience. For now I just get the other items. Definitely check this place out

One of my new favorite go-to places when I want to eat somewhat healthy. Well, maybe minus the beignets, but trust me... DO NOT leave without trying the beignets. They're absolutely amazing! My favorites otherwise are the vermicelli with Mom's chicken and the shrimp spring rolls. You get a boat load of food without breaking the bank.

It's a good thing this place has good food. Their service is HORRIBLE! My friend and I called in our orders and we were told 10 minutes so we headed over. It took us over 10 minutes to get there, we've been here for more than 5 minutes and we're still waiting!! There's 7 people working and only 3 orders on the line. I don't understand why it ALWAYS takes this long to get our food. Yes, the bowls and sandwiches are good. Yes, the portions are very generous. But what about the service? It'll probably be a while before we come back again.

OMG! Just trying the Pho. It is TO DIE FOR! I have no idea what these meatballs are, but they are great! Best Pho I have ever had. Had to put my spoon down to come to Yelp, it's that good.

I took my family for a late (after 7pm) Saturday evening dinner. Was disappointed that they were out of Roti, but ordered Moms.Chicken (which was great, by the way). We were all happy with our respective meals, but the cashier was so nice and so apologetic about being out of the Roti, that the manager later came out to our table and comped the meals of the two of us who had requested the Roti. Then they gave us all a generous order of beignets (which were incredible). Bottom line... Food: awesome. Service: friendly and thoughtful. I'll be back for sure. Gotta try that Roti!

This place is so good that I had to give them another 5 star review! I run a multimillion dollar business and their customer service is top notch. Even the manager comes out to greet you and keep things personal. You gotta try the chicken roti. The portions are huge! Tip: come and get it early. It's one of their staples and they run out towards the evening. My favorite side dish are the fries. The dipping sauce is amazing. I can keep going on about this place but you gotta try it first hand. You won't be disappointed :)

This is my first visit here. The menu may appear to be small, but if you take the 7 meat and tofu choices and multiply them by the 4 choices of rice, bread, noodles and salad the result is 24 menu items plus a choice of one of 5 sides. I'm more used to having a big menu with the combinations all laid out. The service is very friendly and you definitely can see it's a family-run place. When you go up to order it kind of looks like the food is already cooked because there's a bunch of warming trays like at Panda Express, but they write a ticket for each order, so it looks like they do make vre meals one at a time. The egg drop soup was as uninspiring as...well...egg drop soup...I'm just not a fan of goofy, lukewarm egg floating in broth...sorry! The Chicken Roti was just as advertised: a huge half-chicken with a flavorful marinade and more of the sauce on the side. Lemongrass beef was fine, but I think it could be a bit better given the quality of the other dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshly cooked shrimp chips which is sort of like a healthy version of pork rinds. It's not something I usually like, but nice job. The asian slaw was good, but the excess of dressing sort of overly soaked the thinly sliced cabbage a bit too much. I enjoyed the Vietnamese Iced Coffee as it was not super sweet, which I think is a good thing! If I have one little gripe it's the wood tables with the glass tops that inevitably are impossible to ever get completely clean. Although I was a bit skeptical with the "nearly perfect" reviews I'm quite happy to give the place a "4" for the food quality and the earnest, friendly family service.

Went here for the first time today because I was feeling for some Vietnamese and my coworkers had recommended this place to me. Got to say I was very impressed. I don't write all that many yelp reviews but I felt inclined to because of my excellent experience. I came in kinda clueless on what to get. While looking at the menu, a man who turns out to be the owner helped me out. I couldn't decided between the sandwich or the bun with the vermicelli noodles, so he gave me half a sandwich to try with my bun. Right as my food came they brought soup out to everyone there which was delicious especially on a rainy day like today. I got the pork bun with a side of Asian coleslaw. Both were delicious. The half sandwich with the pork was also great. I'm definitely jonesen to come back and try more of their menu. As I left I decided to get a cappuccino before it went back to work. The owner served it to me and it was excellent. After I spent a month in Italy over the summer, I learned to really enjoy cappuccinos. As I talked to the owner, he had also vacationed in Italy and fell in love with cappuccinos. He told me how he spends the extra money to get good stuff from Italy. It is pretty hard to find a good one around here, so I was pleasantly surprised that a Vietnamese place filled my need. I'm always happy to find a good restaurant that is not a chain in south Orange County. Good food and very nice people. Hope they are in business for years to come. Definitely would recommend! Jason

Do not, I repeat do not go on a Saturday night! They have live music which was painfully awful. They have kids from the neighboring churches come and play. They should stop because it will deter patrons from going there especially when singing religious songs. I waited 17 minutes for a to go order of soup. Brought it home and it wasn't even assembled. I have no idea why I waited so long for a soup that just had broth and a meatball cut up. The soup after I assembled it tasted ok but not very flavorful. Idk I drove a long way because I was under the weather and wanted soup. This food did not impress me. Oh and all the employees were a bunch of kids who work there who seem like they have no idea what they are doing. I have not clue if everyone is new or if they don't train them but they need to step it up on the whole service thing. Good luck and I hope you have a better experience then I did if you decide to go there.

The best foodie item that I love to get when I am in town is the beignet. It's very fluffy and flakey on the inside like they use croissant dough. I am not sure if my description is correct in food terms, but that's what it tasted like. Try it with their coffee, which is also good. Next is the chicken roti. I love how it's very tender and the sauce they marinated it with. They give you half a chicken, but in very huge portion. There is two option with the chicken, rice or bread loaf. I prefer the rice with my chicken. What's weird is sometimes I came around 2pm and they said it's not ready till 4 or after. Maybe it's sold out during lunch and the next batch is not ready till after 4pm. When they are slow, there is only one person making the food, working the register and act as waiter. You gotta wait for service. I can't complain, esp when the economy is slow and the restaurant is slow, therefore it's tough to hire extra help. I haven't try their bun or pho since the chicken roti, beignet, and coffee looks more interesting to me.

Good restaurant with great service. I've been here at least 3 times (not b/c I don't like it but b/c there are other restaurant options in Lake Forest and the experience has been wonderful. I've ordered their Wednesday special pho and had their banh mi and both were quite delicious. Today, I stopped by and they ad two spicy pork tacos which is nice b/c I haven't seen a daily special the first few visits. The only criticism is that their banh me, while quite pricey compared to Asian places, was just a tad bit bland for me. Even their pickled daikon and carrots. Other than that, quite filling and mildly delicious.

Took 50 minutes for me to get a sandwich with meat that was cooked when I ordered. The restaurant was only half full and there were only three people before me. Very good sandwich, but not worth the wait. Mine came out 30 minutes before my friend that ordered with me.

Amazing food but SLOW service. Honestly, they have fresh quality food that tastes great but the service could not be any slower even if they tried. Everyone there is extremely nice but it takes a long time to get your food even if it's to go. They really take the time to serve you your food perfectly but sometimes you don't have an hour and a half for lunch. The wonton salad is amazing but don't get it to go, you'll know why when first get it. The sandwiches are great, so are the noodles. Enjoy!!

The food and service here is amazing! Chicken that I ordered was perfectly tender and seasoned, and they kept serving food. First sweet rolls and then their freshly made hot beignets! Make sure to have some before you leave. The service here is very friendly and warm, I feel like I am eating at a home instead of a restaurant.

This place is so good !!! I dont know why I never ate here before, I live right there in the neighborhood and allways passed it up.I went there had lunch with my mom today , they were pulling the bread out of the oven when we were in line so my mom ordered the shrimp banh mi with fries she said it was the best french bread ever ! Her sandwich was a nice size everything super fresh she really liked it.I had the spicy pork with rice and side of slaw it was amazing !I went up and talked to the owners before we left, they were the nicest people the husband was telling me about his Phó he had simmering on the stove for Sat I dont even think its on the menu he said get there early or call if you want a bowl because it sells out.He said he only makes it Wed and Sat and it takes 16 hours to make he even will stay till midnight to make sure it comes out perfect ! As we were walking out the door the wife gave me one of there long baguettes I made my dad a sandwich with it and he agreed with my mom best french bread ever .We will definitely be back hopefully for there Phó and there bread.

We went into this restaurant near closing. They were out of a few items which was disappointing at first but then they offered to make fresh batches of what they did have for us. Because we had to wait the owner came out with a sample of the pho he was preparing for the following day (it takes a very long time to make the broth correctly). I have to say it was OUTSTANDING despite only having been cooked for a few hours. We ordered the spring rolls, lemon grass beef with the bun noodles, and the spicy pork with rice. Everything was delicious! We also had the iced french roast coffee. It was the perfect balance of sweet and not sweet. Then we saw another group order a plate of beignets and we had to order them too! The owner was more than happy to make a special batch for us even though they had started to clean up. The beignets were made perfectly! I will certainly be coming back again (especially to try the pho- beware it is only available Wednesdays and Saturdays and when they are out, they are out!)

My husband and i and our kids had lunch here today. I would say they have one of the best customer service in the area. It was our first time here, and the cashier/server suggested their chicken roti. It was very good, juicy and just perfect for me. My husband had Pho with meatballs, taste pretty good too and my daughter had the lemongrass beef, nothing special. The price was decent, for $20 my family had a great lunch. Oh, and we love their bread roll!! It was so good!!!! And the owner was kind enough to give us some for take home. We will definitely come back here!!

I was confused by some of the comments here, but after visiting I think I understand. This is not a typical ban mi. It has pretty good flavor and it is huuuge. So if you are extra hungry or eat volume. This is for you. The bread is a bit thick for me. I prefer lite and crisp. I did enjoy the pork, but it was too heavy for me. The grilles chickennpalte looked humongous and good. I might try a plate next time. I think those looking for a typical Vietnamese kitchen will be confused. However, it does have a good vibe and friendly staff. Did not try anythin else.Deduct 1 star for the wait. If you come for lunch expecting to get out fast beware. I stopped here for lunch after e meeting in the area hoping to get in and out. Not the case. They are very friendly and they do bring you a free soup, but I did have to wait a bit.

The first time we went here, the owners were very friendly and said that the Tri-tip dunk and dip sandwich is their best seller, so we decided to trust them. I think it may well be the best bahn mi I've ever had. While we were waiting, we noticed several people order the chicken roti, and we thought it looked like an incredible value (that thing is huge!) so we actually came back the next day and split an order of chicken roti on bun. Great food, great value, friendly service (although a little on the slow side, but it's definitely worth the wait!)

Considering there aren't a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Foothill Ranch and the demographics of this area, I guess this place is okay, just OK. I've honestly tasted better. I came here with a friend today to try it out since it has good ratings but we won't be coming back for a two reasons: food and service. The prices here are decent. My friend and I both decided on the Create Your Own Plate option. I ordered the Bun with Lemongrass Beef, a side of Sweet Potato Fries, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. When my dish came, it was missing Nuoc Mam. This is essential to Bun dishes! The sweet potato fries were okay. This might've been the only dish they made correctly because it was crispy and thinly sliced, just the way I like my fries. It came with a side of light orange sauce, which tasted like a mix of Siracha and Thousand Island dressing. The coffee, was NOT your typical Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It lacked condensed milk and tasted like it was mixed with powdered creamer. I also got their Beignets for dessert. The powered sugar was in big chunks and the Beignet was very dry. My friend got the Com dish with Chicken Roti and a side of Asian Slaw. I've never had this dish before so I can't judge but my friend said that is usually deep fried and his dish looked and tasted more like Grilled Chicken. When we brought it to the owner's attention, he said that most Vietnamese restaurants cook it the short cut way by deep frying it and putting butter on top to make it crispy. He didn't seem to like my friend's constructive criticism but it's understandable. He seemed like the type of owner to really take pride in his food. Another reason why this place was just okay, was its service. We went around 12:30 and it wasn't too packed. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to take our order at the register. The cashier was really friendly, we liked her. However, it took about 15 minutes before our food came. They claimed that it was because it was lunch time and they were backed up. The restaurant only had 3 other tables to tend to. I wouldn't recommend anyone eating here but if you're desperate for Vietnamese food and can't drive out to Garden Grove or Westminister, this is an option.

It's time to bust the mentality that you can't get good Vietnamese food outside of Garden Grove or Westminster. Whenever I tell my Vietnamese friends (and I have many, afterall, I'm a pharmacist) that I've discovered a great Vietnamese restaurant, they always ask where it is. If the response is anywhere outside Little Saigon, they shake their head in disbelief as if it simply can't be true. I've gotta tell ya, I've had some pretty shitty Vietnamese food in Little Saigon, even places recommended by some friends. Authenticity too, btw, is not necessarily an indication of great food. Anyway.... My girlfriend and I drove here because of the 4.5-star rating on a Friday night only to find the place completely empty. That made us a little apprehensive, but we tried it anyway. We were greeted by the super sweet Maria, the server from Aguas Calientes, Mexico who works for the Vietnamese family/owners. Cutting to the chase, we can only speak for what we ordered: the spicy pork bun and lemon grass bun. We thought both were AMAZING. Portions were so huge we could barely finish. Everything was freshly prepared (i.e. it didn't arrive at the table 3 minutes after ordering) and delicious. The quality of the meat was apparent and never once did I get a hunk of meat I had to spit in my napkin, which is usually normal. Can't speak for anything else, but some of the other stuff looks great too. Can't wait to go back.

I like how you can pick your base, meat and side. Food is good. Portions large. Service was great. A good healthy alternative. Knocking them for not being true Vietnamese is a low blow. Their menu fits their space and business model.

Had lunch here with the BFF last week. Eleven46 doesn't feel like your typical Vietnamese restaurants. They only sell pho on Wednesdays. (Darn, it was a Thursday!) Prices are reasonable, but definitely more inflated than Viet restaurants in Little Saigon. We shared the tri tip sandwich, bun with lemongrass beef, sweet potato fries, and the asian slaw. Everything was so flavorful! Well prepared and tasted authentic. And the portions were generous. We were stuffed! The only negative for me was that their soda chanh did not taste good. It's supposed to be a carbonated lime drink with tons of sugar, kind of like a tart-sweet limeade. It didn't taste much like lime and also had a slight brown color to it. Other than the drink, I'm sold!

I feel like a kid who waited with wild anticipation to see a famed magic show and the rabbit comes hopping out from behind a screen before it can be pulled from a hat. Or however they do that trick.... Well, I guess I kinda felt like that when I met David Copperfield, who's a total d*ck, but that's a different story for a different day, one that doesn't involve fast casual Asian food. Where the HELL are these 4 and 5 star reviews coming from!?? Yes, I stand here with an accusatory hand on my hip, tapping my shoe. Hm? Elite?? I really hope I caught Eleven46 kitchen on a bad day, because it was exceedingly disappointing. I was surprised to find such a popular place tumbleweed-dead at lunch today. Poor girl at the register told me it was her 3rd day and that's why she was so clueless. And while I sympathize, where is her trainer?? She didnt know to ring an iced tea under "soft drink" until the owner stepped in. Next strike: I waited 20 minutes for a carry out order. Say it with me, ya'll...TWENTY MINUTES. I'm sorry, this is unforgivable at a fast casual joint with no other business going on. I have about 7ish minutes to get from work to here, then back. 15 killed. 5 ordering with newbie, 20 waiting on food and I'm left with 20 minutes to eat and relax before going back to work. I might have accepted this time constraint if the food was amazing as I'd expected, however it was not. And watching the cook dump frozen sweet potato fries in the fryer I kinda expected mediocrity. I'm sad, I wanted this place to be amazing. The lemongrass beef was decent, however the portion size for ten bucks was laughable and I picked burned shallots out of the entire dish. I can't imagine I'll be back. I feel like I've been bitching for an hour. #longassreview

I can to the Irvine area for business for a few days and had a craving for pho. I checked out this place because of the reviews on Yelp. However they only serve pho on Wednesday and Saturdays!!! The owner told me it takes 16 hours to make the broth so that is the reason. It must be good!! Oh well I ordered the spicy beef on cold vermicelli, Asian slaw and of course the beignets. It was delicious. The beef was tasty and the beignet was freshly made. I actually never had beignets before until today. It's like a very light puffed up donut with icing sugar dusted on top. It hit the spot after a full day of meetings. The staff was friendly as well. I was only disappointed that I didn't get to have my pho. I vow to come back for the pho on my next business trip!

Loved discovering this gem tucked away in a plaza. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Very casual, and the food is really spot on. I got the lemongrass tofu bun, which was wonderfully flavorful. Tofu was cooked perfectly with a little crisp to the edges. Beignets were sweet and pillowy. The only thing i wouldn't order again are the veggie spring rolls. Not much flavor, and one of the rice wrappings was a little dry at the edge. But complimentary chocolate coconut beignets at the end were so good I will still give 5 stars. :) Side note - pho is only served Wednesday and Saturday.

I mean, as bummed as the husband and I might be coming here for dinner to find out a few things have been sold out... We're honestly not disappointed because every item on their menu is delicious! We had a family gathering here to celebrate our daughter's mini birthday and the owner + his staff treated us so well!

I really don't understand what is to love about the food, other than their beignets. Their tri tip dip sandwich is good, but it doesn't taste Vietnamese or even Asian at all! If I ate it blindfolded at some sandwich shop, I would think it's any typical French dip sandwich! Their lemon grass beef with rice is bland and slightly too chewy... I'd rather get a Yoshinoya beef bowl. The Mama's chicken is okay... but it's nothing special. Roti is decent here and the vermicelli noodles taste like every other Vietnamese place in SoOC. They cook everything to order so expect a wait that is a bit longer than a typical QSR. Like I said, the beignets are the best thing I had in this joint. The inside is clean and inviting. If you're in the area, it's worth a look, but I frankly wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I've tried almost everything on their menu and can assure you that the items are bombdotcom! Spicy pork banh mi, spicy pork tacos, lemongrass beef, tofu and chicken roti...come to mama! All of the items are full of flavor and the portions are big enough to share. Even the half order is loaded! Oh and on Wednesdays (and Saturdays) they have beef pho! Just like how mama makes it at home. Definitely slurp worthy!

Easily still one of my favorite places to dine. I know I was just reviewing this place, but I have a soft spot for finding. Places like Eleven46. Their story, their menu, It is such a pleasant restaurant to visit. Recently became a fan of their spring rolls. They're light, fresh, and a filling, yet delicate meal item from their menu. Their dipping sauce is served best warmed, a delicious sweetness and perfect for each bite of my spring roll. I've been stuck on their shrimp spring rolls lately, but will definitely try their spicy pork soon. Staff is consistently welcoming and so nice!!! A really great restaurant each time I visit.

Yum! I love the Bun bowls with chicken and beef and vegetables. It was delicious. The restaurant is clean and spacious. They give a lot of food and it's not too pricey. Also, the beignets are great when they are warm! The only thing i didn't really like was the pho... it was kind of bland.

Damnit, Eleven46 Kitchen! Why does your food have to be so good?! We were off to a bit of a rocky start due to some miscommunication as I ended up paying almost $20 for what I thought were two banh mi. Believing that the slick old man behind the register had just ripped me off, I walked to my table highly irritated. Add that to the fact that I have a deep-seated aversion towards asian fusion, I was ready to write a review highlighting every flaw in my meal and tear Eleven46 a new a**hole. They were well on their way to a one-star review when my order, a lemongrass tofu banh mi, arrived and turned out to be their lemongrass beef. I fell back in line to return my sandwich and the man was very apologetic and replaced brought me the correct sandwich himself. Moreover, that was probably the best tofu sandwich I've ever had! The texture of the tofu was spot on as the outside was slightly crispy and the inside was soft yet firm enough to hold up in a sandwich. The bread was also similar with the crispy outside and fluffy/airy inside due to rice flour. Plus it seemed fresh! That secret spread they used was tasty. Furthermore, the sandwich was rather large. I was pretty full haha. As for the second sandwich, the man behind the counter offered the possibility of a chicken roti banh mi and we would just had to assemble it ourselves. I thought they would only provide a few pieces of chicken and I would just debone them. They gave us half a chicken... Well that's why my total came to $20! That chicken lasted several meals haha Though I've had better chicken roti, Eleven46's was very tasty and looked beautiful. It came with a choice of side and we opted for the sweet potato fries with their spiced dip. The fries were whatever but that dipping sauce was pretty solid. Service turned out to be great and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. All in all, I actually like Eleven46 and I'm intrigued by their coffee/tea station and their beignets. I don't know if I'll be back as I'm hardly ever in the area, but I will keep them in mind. Come check them out!

This is an excellent place for a banh mi sandwich! Their dunk and dip tri tip is delicious, the bread is backed fresh in house. Literally melts in your mouth. I've also had the moms chicken with rice and it's super tasty. It's a healthier / fresh version of a typical Maui chicken style plate. The Asian slaw is yummy! Their sweet potato fries are great, especially with the sauce it comes with. They also make fresh beignets that you gotta try! This is one of our go to places to visit. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

Cute concept! A chipotle of Vietnamese food. On the healthy side, and non traditional. Came here after a nearby hike. Food was tasty, but we were in an empty restaurant and our food took a little too long. Two of us had the pork vermicelli, good ingredients and taste - comes with a side dish of salad or cole slaw. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area, but not going out of my way.

In Foothill Ranch (as of today), you really don't have a lot of Asian food choices. Eleven46 does a pretty darn good job with the quality & consistency of their food (for what I've had tried). I'm not huge fan of Banh Mi so I avoid that. It's a family-owned joint & I totally support mom/pop shops! Nuon & his wife are very accommodating & super hard working! If you work or live around the area & haven't checked out this spot -- give it a try! :: VENUE/SERVICE :: I love how it's a high ceiling establishment -- so I don't feel claustrophobic. Indoor seatings are of dark wood & dark flooring. Hardly any decor. Lots of table seating & a few "bar" seatings. No alcohol served. They got flat screen tvs so you don't have to be on your smart phone all the time :X This is not a full service restaurant. So don't arrive expecting a superb service. There is no host/hostess at the door to serve or seat you. Most of the restaurants in this plaza isn't set up that way. It's self-order & self-seating. So when you step foot into this door dont be shy & go place your order with the cashier & find a spot to enjoy your meal at. Grab your own water/soda, condiments & utensils in the corner section. Service from the staff isn't top notch but they do, do their job. Most of the staff are young and i've seen many come & go. Also, at times they are understaffed. But regardless, they've been friendly for all the times I've dined there. :: FOOD (LUNCH TIME ONLY) :: On average, the timing of the food coming out has been pretty consistant for me thats because I tend to go after the crazy lunch hour rush. I've seen how busy they get during lunch time & people have waited awhile for their food. Lemongrass Beef on Salad (5/5) Lemongrass Beef w/ Vermicelli (5/5) Mom's Chicken w/ Rice (4.5/5) Sweet Potatoe Fries (4/5) Asian Slaw (5/5) Beef Pho (4/5) Dinner Rolls (5/5) Beignet (4/5) Vietnamese Iced Coffee (4.5/5)

It might take just a bit of time until your food is prepared but it's well worth it. It's hard to find an Asian fusion restaurant around Foothill Ranch and this place is definitely worth mentioning and coming to. Getting the chicken roti is a more than enough generous serving for a measly $10 with sides. Beignets are served here which are bombdotcom as well as an array of hot and cold drinks. Good place for casual meals or a fine dining experience. And on a side note, the owner is super funny and nice~

Oh how I wanted to like this place. The story behind the name is charming. I wish I could say the same for the food here with it's dishes bearing endearing names like "mom's chicken". I'll refrain from ranting as it would be of little service to anyone, except to say the individuals preparing the food apparently have no desire to be there and you can taste their indifference in the food. If the restaurant staff reads this, please make note that untrimmed pork served cold is not at all appetizing.

The food here is so cheap and so yummy! For $10, you can get two meals' worth of food, and the variety is fantastic. You can build a plate and 1) choose between starch/ carb items (rice, cold vermicelli, bread), 2) choose between meat (two kinds of chicken, pork, beef, tofu), and 3) choose a side (fries, sweet potato fries, etc). There are, of course, other items and specials to select, such as banh mi and soup noodles. Everything seems like such a great deal! We selected a plate with noodles, roti/ rotisserie chicken, and fries. And boy, was I delighted when the food came out! There were two huge pieces of chicken and a big bowl of cold vermicelli. The noodles were like any other cold vermicelli, but the chicken was just exquisitely flavorful! We didn't even need to use the sauce. And even between the two of us, we couldn't finish this meal! I can't wait to go back the next time I'm feeling like Vietnamese food in RSM.

Family owned and loving it! Finally made it here! I've had this place book marked for awhile and glad we made our way here. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is very chill. Came here for lunch and I got the Eleven46 combo which is 1/2 a sandwich of your choice and a side (home made shrimp chips, sweet potatoe fries, fries, asian slaw, or mixed greens). I got the special sandwich (Vietnamese cold cut-very traditional!) and shrimp chips! We shared the beignets. The sandwich was really good and the chips were very tasty and not too salty. The best part was dessert! They were so fluffy and pillowy, just like they advertise!! The staff is very friendly and I love the fact that it is family owned. Their story is very unique and it explains why the restaurant is called Eleven46. I would tell you but, it's best to stop by and see for yourself. Great customer service and they make you feel like part of the family! Tip: They only serve Beef Pho on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Served until the pot is empty!

Beignets beignets beignets!! My favorite thing about this place! The tri-tip sandwich is by far my favorite non-dessert item but they've run out of it several times when going there in the evening. Also, they only have pho on certain days, which makes it hard if you happen to crave that and don't remember what day it is.

My wife and I went on Yelp! checking for local pho places and this came up as the best rated so I gave it a shot. It is not really pho but if you are craving Vietnamese in RSM/Foothill Ranch it should top your list of places to visit. The setup is "fast casual" but I would not plan to come here if in a big hurry. This should not be taken as a detrimental comment but a fair notice for people who expect a drive thru pace. Ingredients were very fresh and delicious and everything we sampled was tasty. I recommend the lemongrass beef as something completely different you wont find often. We also had some chicken on a bed of salad, the shrimp chips, sweet potato fries and Pork Spring Rolls. For under $30 we ate very The staff was very friendly, and that was the highlight strange as it may sound. The food came a little slower than we expected, over 15 minutes with few of any orders ahead of us, and a couple items were missing when the main course was served. The courteous staff fixed everything quickly and were pleasant despite it starting to get close to closing time. I would give 4.5 stars if I could.

Words cannot describe the love I have for this family owned business. Minh and I were in the area after doing some errands and realized we have not had lunch. This cute little restaurant is located on Auto Center Drive in a medium size plaza. Parking is never an issue, and it's never packed (how do you know that you ask, well because it's so stinking good we have been back 3 more times for lunch). When we first walked in, we were warmed greeted by a kind gentleman that was behind the counter. He asked if we had been there before, and Minh replayed with yes I have been here before, this is her first time! Their menu is an easy read: Banh Mi (you can make it a combo with a side and drink) Asian wonton salad Four different kinds of spring rolls A kids menu with more than two choices And the best part of all a create your own plate menu! Step one: Pick a base (Rice, noodles, bread or salad) Step Two: Choose a meat (Spicy pork, lemongrass beef or tofu, mom's chicken, ect) Step Three: Choose a side (Fries, sweet potato fries, and shrimp chips, asian slaw, mixed greens) Because I love to create a masterpiece with my food, I decided to make my own plate. Spicy pork with noodles and shrimp chips as my side. We were handed a number and we sat down. This restaurant does not look big from the outside but it had a lot of room. Tables and chairs are clean; you can tell they take pride in their place! I got involved reading the back-story about this incredible family. Here is a small excerpt from what I remember and from their website: Eleven46 is dedicated to the memory of an amazing mother who found absolute joy in cooking for others and always made guests feel at home. After the grueling escape from Vietnam, they were able to live the American dream. Eleven46 (1146) is the address of their first and only home. It sheltered and fed many more families that escaped the war torn country. Our food came out to us by the friendly gentleman; he told us he would be back with some dipping sauce for us to try with our shrimp chips (by the way, these suckers are huge). My bowl was filled to the top with tasty pork, noodles, carrots. chopped peanuts and green onion on top, below were oodles of noodles! I drove right in; the spice pork did indeed have a kick, which made it more savory. Minh and I got into a conversation while enjoying our lunch. I was so involved talking I did not notice that I still had some noodles left. When the friendly gentleman came over to see how we liked our meals, he noticed I was not finish. He came back with a small dish of meatballs and said "meatballs goes with the rest of your noodles." "Let me know what you think of them after you're done." I have to say if you are a fan of meatballs in your pho, then you have to try their meatballs, tasty, soft and flavorful! Now let's talk shrimp chips, I love love love love shrimp chips! I could eat them all day everyday unfortunately; I can only handle so much MSG in my diet! These shrimp chips never make me feel sick, and are light and crunchy! I love how giant they are in size! Ask for the spicy sriracha aioli sauce to go with it, I promise it will make you want more! A+ for great service A++ for outstanding food and prices A+++ for making our bellies happy and making us feel like family!

This is our go-to place for Vietnamese food and they make the BEST coffee around!!! What makes this place extra special, apart from the exceptional cappuccinos and beignets, is the fantastic service. The staff are warm and friendly and the owner, Yun, goes out of his way to accommodate his customers and make them feel welcomed. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or dessert :)

Found this place on Yelp when I was craving Pho one day. First time I came I found out they only serve Pho on Wednesday and Saturdays. I decided to come back on a Wednesday and came again after. So far, I've tried: *Pho - The broth is so yummy! The only thing I noticed is that the broth seemed more fatty than what I'm used to. They only have one type of Pho, which is rare beef with meat balls. I'm not disappointed at all since it's what I always order at any pho place I go to. They only have one size as well, which is the average size for I believe $7.50. *Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi - Oh, the bread was perfect with the Lemongrass Beef. Everything in it just went well together. This is something I'd get again. *Shrimp Chips - This comes as a side with you order. The shrimp chips taste like the shrimp chips I buy at Filipino/Asian markets. :) *Spicy Pork w/ Rice - The first time I wanted to order this, they ran out. Knowing that they ran out that night made me really curious of how good this was. I finally tried it and it was just okay. It reminded me of Tocino (Filipino food) and maybe that's why it was just okay for me since I was expecting it to be more different than what I've had. I'll give this another try, maybe it's better with the bread? *Beignets - Never had it before, so I decided to try it. It's only $2.50 for 3. It was very fluffy and they make it fresh. It tasted like a donut, just not as sweet and doughy which is perfect for me. :) *Egg Rolls - Cannot pass up on trying egg rolls. It's $4.95 for 3 large rolls; and when I say large, they are bigger than the ones you order at any other restaurant. The egg rolls I believe were pork, it was yummy! (10 minutes for them to fry) Overall experience have been awesome. Though they did forget o give us our drink orders once and my sauce for the egg rolls but I heard the waiter that day was in training so no biggy. I'll be coming back here again for some Vietnamese food, love the Lemongrass beef! YUMMY YUM-YUM!

A buddy of mine brought me here from Irvine. I was like, "Where are you taking me geeezus this is far"! I mean I know the area but to come all the way out here for lunch? Well I was pleasantly surprised! He said, "Just get the #4 The Tri Tip Dip"! Ummmm wow! This had flavor on top of flavor. The meat was super tender/soft & the aus jus was very tasty as well. Soooo good! And different as well. The only thing that irked me was they had some local dude in there just talking to himself the whole time. Those are the one's who go crazy all up the place so I couldn't wait to finish my sandwich & get the hell out but I will for SUUURE be back again!!

I was really hoping that this restaurant was good. It started being a cute place with a cute concept of making ordering easy. Pick a base (rice, bread, noodles, salad), choose a meat (pork, beef, chicken), and grab a side (fries, sweet potato fries, shrimp chips, Asian Slaw, mixed greens). There's your plate. That was cute and easy! We ordered rice w chicken and noodles w chicken. The food was so bland. Normally we get sauce w this. This restaurant didn't automatically give the sauce. We had to ask for them. The sauce tasted like fish sauce only which was really strong! Normally the fish sauce is not so dominant. I've tasted much better com and bun somewhere else. Their Asian slaw tasted like cabbage and water--which should be the dressing. All in all, cute place but food is not so good.

I found Eleven46 Kitchen when I was searching for a local place that made beignets for my daughter's birthday party. Manuel was very helpful in helping me place my order. I arrived a little early on Sunday 6/7 (there were some road closures in Mission Viejo due to some event and I wanted to avoid traffic or being late). The baker was very polite and chatted with me as they packed up my order of 48 beignets. They helped carry them out to the car and gave me all the powder sugar to place out at my event. They were delicious and a huge hit! A friend from France commented on how wonderful they were and how she hadn't tasted anything like them since leaving home. We will be back for sure, this time to try some coffee and Vietnamese food :D

Not the typical Vietnamese sandwich or pho restaurant. Great food with great prices, portions, and service. I came here during lunch and there was plenty of parking and room in the restaurant. I would highly recommend Mom's chicken with rice. There are plenty of side options. We ordered the sweet potato fries and the french fries for the table (both delicious).

This place is pretty good for lunch. The line can get kinda long if you arrive after 12pm. Parking becomes super annoying during the lunch rush too. Overall, prices are reasonable and the food tastes fresh here. Food -Asian Wonton Salad ($6.50): The taste is average like any other Asian salad I've had, but it looks really cool because the wonton comes in the form of a huge bowl with the salad inside. It tastes so much better with chicken and that's another $2. -Kids Menu #5 ($5.50): I got this today since I wasn't too hungry and it was such a great deal! For such a low price, you get a small drink, small banh mi, and side. The Mom's Chicken Banh Mi is delicious! -Beignets: DELICIOUS. FRESH. WARM. SWEET. SATISFYING. However, they take a long time to come out, so I recommend ordering in advance. Service -Everyone on Yelp says service is really great, but I've only encountered service below average. Today I tried to order the kids menu #5 and the lady was SO confused. We stood there for a good minute before I could tell her the type of banh mi and side I wanted. No wonder the line was extra long. They also often seem confused in the kitchen.

Completely different experience here tonight. Walked into a empty room. No staff. We thought they were closed. Service before was great - this time we were left feeling like intruders. And the guy acted like he had no clue what green tea was when I ordered... Tried to give me camomile tea. Ended up with earl grey tea. We may give them another try... Maybe not.

Third time eating here in two months and we haven't been disappointed. We love the Pho although it is only available on Saturday and Wednesday, so plan accordingly. The broth is rich and great when you add in all the fixings. We've also had the lemongrass beef and the Moms chicken and both were also great. The beef has a very unique flavor that is well worth trying and we will have both again. I can never decide so I always split a few things with my daughter. And to top things off, what can you say about the beignets! They are super light and always come out hot and fresh with a perfect amount of powdered sugar. I love the fact that we have good ethnic food here in south county--you can't miss with this place!

If you're looking for a legit Vietnamese restaurant then you can probably stop reading this review because this establishment, although delicious, is far from traditional and is categorized as fusion. I like to think of this place as a Chipotle-esque version of Vietnamese food although you are still ordering off the menu, you can mix and match your own things. I tried the spring rolls here and although the rolls themselves are good, I'm not as big of a fan of the sauce. Now my favorite thing to get here is mom's chicken which is like a honey soy marinaded chicken with vermicelli and French fries or asian slaw as my side. Sometimes I even get it off the kids menu as the regular portion is a little too big for me. I end up coming here for dinner because it's too far from my work but this would be an awesome lunch spot or good place to grab a quick dinner like me. Also bonus points for always good service and cute family story.

I think people rate this place higher than it should be because of the story behind this family owned joint. You can read about it on their menu. I ordered my food and it wasn't exceptional. I chose the rice with chicken and sweet potato fries. The bread wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 15 minutes. I was the only one in the restaurant. I wasn't going to wait because I was hungry. This says a lot, I was hungry and it wasn't that good. It's ok, it's not bad but you can definitely get better for the money elsewhere. Maybe their sandwhiches are better. I dunno but I don't want to go back and find out.

I had read many other Yelp reviews and wanted to try something new (new to me at least). Very nice atmosphere and very friendly/helpful staff. I asked for recommendations and accepted the suggestion of the Chicken Roti over rice. I added shrimp chips as a side dish and a Thai iced tea as my beverage. If you want to try beignets but can't make the trip to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, LA... then drop by Eleven46. The Chicken Roti, rice, and kimchi were very tasty too. I am so full now... with lots of leftovers for later; except for the beignets - they were dessert and they're all gone.

My gf & I wanted to try somewhere new and this is a spot we've always kept in mind. They close at 9p.m. and we got there at exactly 8:39p.m. to find the place empty. Totally empty. We ordered our entrees and the transaction was completed at 8:42p.m. Nothing was special about our order. The time is important because we took our seats and waited. And waited. And waited. We waited until 9:03p.m. before our food showed up. That's 24 minutes. I ordered thin-sliced pork, for christsakes. That should take, what, three or four minutes? We looked back at the cooking station periodically as we waited and didn't see anyone doing a thing for almost 15 minutes. And we were the only people there. Shocker - once we got the food, it wasn't even that great. My pork was chewy and the rice was overcooked. My gf seemed pleased with her meal, though. But we both agreed the service here was abysmally slow.

I'm Vietnamese and am happy to say this Banh Mi place is legit and authentic and oh sooooo yum!!!!!!! I love The #1 sandwich which is a Viet pork cold cut combo. The bbq pork sandwich is tasty too. Best Viet sandwiches in OC.....better than most places in Westminster, seriously! PS u can add an egg to your sandwich for added deliciousness :-) oh, forgot to mention, the restaurant interior is modern looking and clean and nicely decorated. Price is $6.50 per sandwich....it's a big sandwich, definitely big enough for dinner.

After the Taste of Lake Forest event, our party came here to see if they were worthy of winning first place, as I had cast my vote for them to win. Located one intersection over from the parking lot the Taste of Lake Forest event was hosted in, this particular plaza usually has parking problems during weekdays, but fortunately, we came during a weekend and the parking lot still had space open. The same could be said internally, as the restaurant was only at 20% capacity during lunch hours during the weekend. The procedure here is that one picks a base (more accurately, carbohydrate selection), then a meat, inclusive of beef, chicken, and spicy pork (I believe that's what was offered at the event) and a side item. They will provide a number and deliver it to one's table. The bowl consists of the following layers from bottom to top: lettuce, cold noodles, meat, pickled vegetables on the side, and green onions. The meat received had a lot of blackened edges and those tasted like charcoal, but I just peeled those parts off to get to the good stuff. The food was very tasty and simple and rivaled the quality of Ha Long, although it took longer to get it. The quantity is very large and the bowl rivaled the size of Ha Long as well. Unfortunately, none of us had any stomach space left for the desserts. Yes, this place is worthy of first place based on taste alone. The award belongs where it is! Let it be a glowing beacon that brings commerce to one's establishment!

So disappointed in this place. Decided to go on a date night and try something new. We usually visit a place down the way for Pho, that has it ready in 5 minutes, 10 tops. Came here at 8:30, they close at 9. You'd think a walk up and order place would be pretty quick at cooking food, especially when they want to go home. I ordered the chicken, the man ordered thin sliced pork. Watched as the "cook" cooked our food for 20 minutes. That pork should have been cooked for 5 minutes tops. Took is 25 minutes to get our food. Either their grill is not putting out the proper BTUs or this kid cooking has no clue what he is doing. I will also mention they have 2 big screen TVs showing 2 different, equally obnoxious cooking shows, blasting sound that compete against each other. One thing I can't stand is the voice of Guy Fieri, it's even worst when he's trying to talk over the equally annoying Bobby Flay. Actually asked them to turn it off, or at least down. I'm here to eat, not watch TV, but thanks anyways.

Chicken Roti is DELICIOUS! This half chicken is enormous and packed with juicy Vietnamese flavors. It easily fed the 3 of us with leftovers to boot! Where do they get these gigantic birds anyway?

Interesting concept - it's basically a Vietnamese version of Chipotle (with not as much necessary customization). We've been here a couple times. The first time, the place was dead. Service was lovely - they sat us down first and served us tea. The portions were huge, especially if you get the chicken (it's half a chicken). I ordered the chicken and decided it was solidly tasty. Dining companions ordered the lemongrass beef and spicy pork and the consensus was pork was tastier because the beef was way too sweet. On our second visit, they were entertaining a huge special party (making them off-menu items, etc.) but they were still able to get our food out to us just in time (before our patience ran out. Great concept but everyone I've gone with felt like the food was too sweet, even the fish sauce condiment that you pour over vermicelli noodles. We also ordered the beignets but only enjoyed them while they were hot. Cold, they didn't taste as pillow-like and heavenly. Recommend you get those when you eat-in - not a great takeout item. Friendly service though when they get busy, naturally don't expect much attention.

We have been eying this place for a while, so we decided to try it out. As we looked at the menu (they could tell we have never been here before) , they explained each item, how it was prepared, so helpful. I had the spicy pork on noodles. Great portion size, very fresh and tasty. The Asian slaw was out of this world, it's a must! Great, friendly service! Fresh, tasty food! A must!

Oh God, this place was so terrible. I dropped in here Sunday afternoon to check it out based on all the great yelp reviews. I was really excited about a restaurant with high reviews in my neighborhood of Foothill Ranch which pretty much has nothing. Menu is pretty simple, so I was pretty much set on a banh mi. I was trying to decide on the side, so I asked the server about the coleslaw. What's in it, I asked. Cabbage, she replied. Okaaay, then. Anyway I wait for my food and it's not that quick since it only appears to be one person in the kitchen. When I receive it, it's not a bad presentation. But I'm really disappointed in the sandwich. The vegetarian sandwich consists of lettuce, some pickles, mayo, Maggie sauce, cucumber, and three very sad strips of griddled red bell pepper. It barely taste like anything. The pickled daikon and carrots are extremely tasteless. There is a very slight vinegar taste but that's about it. There's no cilantro. This is a really disappointing sandwich. The coleslaw was similarly tasteless. Yes, they were fried shallots on top and some peanuts, but this could have really used a much more pungent vinaigrette, some mint, and some sharpness from raw scallions, sesame oil, or something. All in all, a highly disappointing experience. I don't know if I ordered the wrong thing, but I'm not really interested in coming back to try anything else.

I've been at this location 3 times now. The owner is so nice. He gives my daughter these heart shape shrimp chips that she absolutely loves. My husband loves the dunk and dip sandwich a lot. He's always talking about it. I always order the spicy pork and rice there. It's made fresh and the seasoning on it is so good. I still need to try the spicy pork banh mi though. Yes! I love my pork! The service can be a little slow sometimes, but the food makes up for it.

So food is still top notch but man the service which highly affects the experience especially when u have to wait almost 2 hrs to not get ur complete meal and have to just walk out. we tried it again tonight. Unfortunately seems to have gotten worse. We ordered and received the wrong dish but it got weird when it became a disciplinary issue that we were exposed to between the order taker and who appears to be the manager. Needless to say the food was corrected and it became busy. And we never received our dessert. And when I asked for it I was told by the same girl last visit who botched things with our last visit that she would bring it. We waited 20 mins and ended up just leaving. I'm really saddened that it's dropped off this much so quickly.

Great little Vietnamese place. Perfect spot for solo lunch out: inexpensive, delicious, friendly service, clean and casual ambiance. I tried the spicy pork banh mi with Asian slaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The staff was incredibly attentive. Try their soda chanh (soda lemonade)! Can't wait to try the beignets next time...

Really good, affordable sandwiches. I really like the Bahn Mi special, but they are all good. They use (bake their own?) really good fresh rolls. Staff and owner are very friendly too. It is not open on Sunday, which was disappointing.

This place didn't do much for me. Long wait for food that wasn't plentiful so I don't know where all the wait time came from. Chicken was average, not packed full of flavor or anything, and was not a very big portion for the price. Also, service was very slow and disorganized. They forgot to bring out two things that we ordered and we had to tell them more than once. To make up for this, one of the guys there offered to "add some chocolate sprinkles to our beignets (sp?) for free." Wow, thanks buddy. You freaking even charge people extra for a few chocolate flakes? Give me a break. All in all, wasn't impressed. Don't know what all the hype is about.

I guess four stars...? No problem with customer service (but there were three customers). Food is average/good...and very Americanized. Got their 1/2 sandwich combo with fries. Dunk and dip is good, but it's like eating a French roast dip. Banh mi uses pickled daikon/carrots, but the ones at this place is hardly pickled. Fries seemed a bit too potato-y and hard...like it wasn't fried enough. Pretty oily. The sauce for the fries is good. Overall, this meal was nowhere near an "Asian" meal. Eggrolls are good. Greasy goodness, but not sure if it's really worth the price (3 for $4.95). Very pork-y. Pork spring rolls are meh. It's not bad....but when you compare it to other restaurants that serve pork spring rolls, it's not that great. Also, don't expect a peanut dipping sauce. They have their own mixture. Overall, it's not bad. I'd still come from time to time since it's near my work.

Good food overall and decent prices. Got the roti chicken over rice with sweet potato fries. The chicken was a large portion and pretty tasty. The rice was good but not great as well as the sweet fries. Also tried the pork sandwich which was pretty good. Overall I would return for another meal. The staff only included 3 people who were working their tails off, running around delivering orders.

This place is pretty cool. You can create your own entree. Once you walk in, the cashier walks you through the process. Tri tip sandwich $7.50, delicious! The bead was nice & soft, and the meat was hot & juicy. Pho $7.50, the meat & noodles were good, but the broth was ehh. They only serve pho on Wednesday & Saturday. In my opinion, the food is pretty pricey for Vietnamese food. I'm use to buying sandwiches for $3.00-$4.00. And pho from $5.00-$7.00. And their sides were $2.25. The service is really good. They check up on you a lot. The owner is super friendly & so sweet. She gave our table freshly baked bread with butter. Yummm. If I lived closer, I'd come back!

The food was just OK. Mom's chicken was a little dry. The sauce with the sweet potato fries was tasty. Spring rolls standard. Although it's hard to screw that up. Customer service was very lacking. It wasn't terrible, the guy just didn't seem involved at all. Beignets were tasty. If I come back I'll try the roti chicken, it looked good. Took between 15-20 minutes to get our order even though there were no other customers here when we ordered! I wanted to like this place. It's just meh. I'll give it another shot, maybe. I don't know. Perhaps.

Walked in here because the cal fish grill had a long line and smelled funny...BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! this place is amazing. Atmosphere, food, and service were top shelf. The owner was super nice! I will be back! Try the spicy grilled pork sandwich with fried egg on too. Trust me it'll make your night.

This place is awesome! If you haven't been here, put down you iPhone/smartphone and go there now! Quality is 10/10 and service was 10/10 the two times I've been here. Their spicy pork tacos are the bomb! Their Thai Ice Tea is 10/10! Notice the pattern... Go there now!

I got three words to describe this place....so much disappointment. After seeing the high ratings and reading some rave reviews, I was really expecting more. But after reading the past reviews, a lot of their five star reviews have to do with excellent customer service (free food while they waited, free dinner rolls, etc.) But if you look at their most recent reviews - all of these great service items are now gone. Now, the food here isn't bad. But it's not the best, and the prices are steep. We came on a Saturday so we ordered one bowl of pho and lemongrass beef w/ sweet potato fries. The food wasn't bad. The pho was ok, it wasn't the best bowl of pho I've ever had, but it was tastier than the other options around Irvine/Lake Forest. The lemongrass beef was ok, the portions were pretty small though, I finished it and still felt hungry. The sweet potato fries tasted frozen. Like...they tasted like fried ice cubes. Service wasn't the best... they're nice and friendly but it's not like they're real servers.

Am in Foothill Ranch frequently for work and have never found great food here until today. A business associate and I decided to give Eleven46 Kitchen a try after reading their wonderful Yelp reviews. Place is pretty spartan, not much from the outside. We both decided to try Mom Chicken with white rice. I chose to go for the sweet potato fries as an accompaniment. A few minutes later a wonderful dish arrives at my table. Lovely chunks of grilled/barbequed chicken amass a bed of fluffy rice. The flavor was wonderful and the portion size immense. The sweet potato fries were fresh and delicious. I never expected anything this good. Our lunch entrees were $8.95 each. The owner went so far as giving us some Spicy Pork to taste which was fantastic. The folks whom own this place are super nice and went out of their way making sure we had a solid 5 star lunch. Will I be back? Yes - on Friday. I had a great experience at Eleven46 Kitchen today and will be a regular customer. Promise!

Me and my family went there today.I got noodles with spicy pork it was very tasty with shrimp chips I didn't think I would like them but they were delicious. I would prefer this if you are craving Vietnamese food. My mom got a chicken burger and it was very good she got fries and they were SUPER yummy. My sister got chicken and rice she chugged it down she LOVED it my other sister got a Chicken sandwich same as my mom she said it was fine/good my dad got a HUGE chicken with rice I tried some it was very good it was moist and very good the rice was amazingly good. I loved this place I could go there any day

I came to this place for the very first time after looking up the review, I figured it looked promising. Unfortunately, to the minute I stepped foot inside, I became disappointed. The floors were dirty as well as every table (which wasn't occupied. When I finally reached the cashier to take my to go order. He wasn't pleasant with a positive customer service attitude. Rather, he was stressed and looked worn out (which they weren't busy at all). It was a Sunday. Hardly anyone was there. Which is why I question why it took them twenty-five minutes to make a three piece egg roles? I'm not trying to rip on this establishment, however, I hope the management can look into working to fix this so they won't scare others away. Which I've never had eggs role taste powdery, lol, that's a first.

Food seemed good, but I didn't get it all because of severe kitchen/staff confusion. They seemed really stressed and hectic even though the small restaurant was only 30% full including my group of 5. I think I must've gotten them on an off day. They refunded part of my order as I never got it and then gave me some free donuts to try to make it right, it didn't, but was a sincere gesture I guess. I probably wouldn't return.

I'm really confused by all these reviews, service was not all that great anddddd the food tasted tasteless and old. The FIRST time I've ever just taken a few bites and walked out. My husband barely touched his plate, we were both bummed out that date night was kinda ruined do to a crappy expensive meal.

I came here after thanksgiving and it looked pretty good from the reviews. I was a little upset because I ordered a chicken salad and it came out a little skimpy and without dressing! I totally goofed because some of the other dishes that the people around me had looked much more appetizing. Anyway, I'm sure it was an off day for the restaurant. If I am ever in the area, I probably would give it another shot. Some of their other chicken dishes looked fresh and delicious. Oh well.

BEIGNET REVIEW ONLY, I came here after dinner elsewhere exclusively for the beignets. OMFG! If you've ever had beignets and hickory coffee or hot chocolate at Cafe du Monde on Jackson Square in New Orleans, you will know what these beignets taste like. Served freshly cooked, they were light and airy and topped with all that powdered sugar goodness that melts as it hits the warm beignet. So good, I was transported back to many stops at Cafe du Monde at all hours of the day and night. The cappuccino was hot and very good, too, and with the sugared beignets, it didn't need much sweetening itself. Delicious combo. This is a Vietnamese place, and I hope to come back not just for the beignets, but to try some of the other food, too. They even have a small bar!

Since the owner has personally apologized via email, it shows that they care about their customers, I'm compelled to increase my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. Another constructive criticism that I have is to have the order out faster. A lot of people only have 30 minutes to an hour for lunch, they can't wait too long for their food.

I absolutely love this place! Best spicy pork noodle bowl I have ever eaten! Egg drop soup is glorious! And the beignets are scrumptious!

Here's what makes this place special: 1. Unlike other Vietnamese Places these guys value customer service! Super Friendly husband and wife team 2. They serve yummy Beignets and cappuccinos and espressos 3. High quality food for a great price and portions are large- try the rotti chicken - its the bomb and enough for leftovers. This beats Costco chicken. Lol. - Dont care for the thai tea though. Not sweet enough and all ice :( - understaffed so service is slow - hmmm needs work on consistency and basic service needs

This place is good if you do not go in expecting authentic Vietnamese food. Yelp even tells you that this place is fusion so for those who docked stars for fries being served with banh mi...uhmmmm? With that in mind, I went in and was pleasantly surprised. I for one love sweet potato fries and I love banh mi! Their lemongrass beef is tender and flavorful. I think the only thing that could have made it better was jalapeños and a fried egg. Their roti chicken was juicy but I needed a little more contrasting flavor so I probably wouldn't order this again. I loved the options of a protein, a base, and a side..it makes for easy ordering and it ensures you get everything you want. Service was really great and the prices are fair. We ordered to items plus and ice coffee for $22. The portion sizes are rather generous....the roti chicken is half of a chicken! They also have pho but its only available on wed and sat!

Awesome, awesome customer service & food!! This is what I'm talking about when it comes to feeling wanted as a customer, to have the chef or servers serving you with big smiles, appreciation, excitement, passion, and most of all love. I just want to say thank you to the Chef and his lovely server who were both so attentive, and so willing to help make me and my family have the best dining experience. The food was really good too. I'm glad that there are still a few, authentic and passionate restaurants in this Foothill Ranch Plaza. The combination of the ingredients and the flavors were very well prepared. While we waited for our order, the server brought free hot & fresh sweet rolls to our table! How sweet of her! The order was kind of backed up since they only have 1 cook, so I appreciated the thoughtfulness to bring a yummy appetizer while we wait. These sweet rolls are amazing! Slightly oily on outside, but very very soft and squishy, not at all airy on the inside. It sort of reminded me of the King's Hawaiian Sweet bread, but way way better!! It's more bread-y than I thought, but not harsh dough. The flour is very soft and melts in your mouth!! The Shrimp Spring Rolls was good, but I recommend using a spoon to dip the sauce onto the rolls because you want to take advantage of the daikon & carrot shredded pieces on top of the sauce with every bite of the roll. This sauce is unlike other sauces at most common Vietnamese restaurants. The peanut sauce is not heavy on peanuts, but rather a very thick sauce. Yummy Asian Slaw!!! It's not salty nor too sour, and definitely not drenched in vinegar sauce. It's very flavorful even for the minimal ingredients. The Asian Slaw is cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, fried onions, salt & pepper seasoning. I could eat this slaw all day long! It's so good!! Dunk & Dip Sandwich was an interesting concept with mayo, thinly sliced beef, and cheese on a baguette. Pretty good. Teriyaki Chicken Bun (Noodles) was very good too. At first glance it looks like there's a lot of noodles, but keep digging underneath and you'll find the mint and lettuce at the bottom. Just stir and mix the noodles together with the chili glazed oil poured over the noodle bowl. Mmmmm... soo good!! Now, here's the best part of this place. The EXCELLENT customer service. At the end of our meal, the Chef, himself, served my family and I a cup of Ginger Tea.... on the house!! How wonderful! He knows how to treat his customers well . I will definitely come back and enjoy more of the delicious food here. Hope ya'll could come and enjoy the enthusiastic service... Don't forget to smile! :)

Happy to see a new Vietnamese restaurant add some variety to Foothill Ranch dining. I liked the look of the place with the dark wood in the dining area. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… There are cool, large, black and white pictures decorating the wall. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… I knew the moment I walked in and saw that picture that I wanted to be like that little girl and have one of their powder sugary beignets :) This restaurant is an order at the counter and get your food delivered to you type of place. You choose your base of your meal such as rice, noodle, sandwich or salad and then go from there by picking the type of meat you want and also pick a side. You can also order a la cart off their Banh Mi/sandwich menu or get soup or order from a variety of spring rolls. They also offer a kids' menu. Hot, fresh rolls are brought to the table after ordering. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… On my first visit here I ordered the Lemongrass Beef with noodles (Bun). yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… It was delicious and refreshing on a warm summer evening. The beef was flavorful and as atop a bed of noodles with daikon and carrot and I was given sauce for pour over it all. We also got the Dunk and Dip Tri-tip sandwich which was tri-tip with Provolone and crispy onions and grilled peppers with a Asian dipping sauce. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… That was tasty, also. On a subsequent visit, I order the Special Banh Mi with a side of shrimp chips. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… The owner told us that everything in the sandwich was made in-house from the pickled daikon/carrots on top to the bread to the pate. You could taste the homemade love here. It was delicious. Don't forget to try their freshly made beignets, here, also. I would recommend eating them in the restaurant straight out of the fryer. They do not make these French pillows of powder sugary goodness until you are ready to eat them to ensure freshness. This was my first foray into beignets, so I have nothing really to compare them too, but I thought these fritters were yummy. yelp.com/biz_photos/elev… Hope you aren't wearing black clothing when you order these because that powdered sugar gets everywhere! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice to see a family-owned business bringing some great food to Foothill Ranch.

Came here for my first time with a friend and we both ordered the bun (noodles), one with with the beef and one with tofu. The meat was grilled to order and you can see them prepare everything behind the counter. You can definitely notice that everything was fresh and flavorful from the first bite! For the sides the dishes come with, I tried the shrimp chips and the slaw. The shrimp chips were homemade -crunchy and tasty. The slaw was okay- a little bland for me. Overall, the portions were just right and we even had some of our bun left over. To finish the meal off, we ordered the beignets and they were so good! Fluffy, light and delicious. The owner also gave us complimentary tea with our beignets which was really nice. He was very attentive and polite throughout our entire dinner. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Went here yesterday for lunch. Was recommended by a friend so I'd thought I'd give it a shot. I love Vietnamese food and they definitely hit the spot. I had the vermicilli with lemongrass and beef. It also came with a side order of sweet potatoe fries. Other choices as well but I'm a fatty when it comes to food. The dip was amazing! Totally coming back!

Since we've just moved back to the OC I have been craving some good Vietnamese food. Based on the positive reviews and this place being down the street from our house, we gave it a try. Let me start off by saying their Beignets are almost as good as the beignets from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. So light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Just typing this is making me crave this French doughnut. I am so happy that Vietnamese food has some French influence. And this place definitely represent the fine cuisine. We ordered the Banh Mi spicy pork sandwich and lemon beef with noodles. Although the sandwich was simply OK; the lemon grass beef with noodle was spot on. The portions were big and the owner is very generous in giving out extra food for the patrons to try. While we were there for lunch, the owner brought out beignets for everyone to try. I believe he was having a lot of fun making them because of the big smile on his face as he handed them out to everyone of his customers, even the ones waiting for their to-go. The owner seem to enjoy what he is doing and enjoy people critiquing his food. They seem to be hiring new servers because the ones that seem to know the menu and type of food served are over worked picking up after the new hires that are struggling to keep up. Customer Service - It depends if you are being helped by a new hire or someone who has worked there for awhile. If it's a new person, the service seems to be slower as the owner watch on. The new hire has to work the register and put together the food during their training. Things are really quick if the owner steps in or that tall young guy that seems to have the system figured out. Food- The food is fresh and of good quality. You can watch as they cook your food. Doesn't seem like they use frozen food. Doesn't taste like the food is pre-packaged either. So overall, I'm pretty happy with the freshness and quality of their ingredients. Overall I will continue to come back for the beignets and hopefully get there for their Phò before it sells out. The price was fair, the food quality is great, the service is good, and the experience was always different. Don't think I will order the sandwich again, but that's just me, I enjoy that traditional pâté spread on Banh Mi sandwiches rather than mayo. However, if you prefer the mayo, I'd say this is the place.

Terrible experience. Not sure how this place got so many good reviews to lure me in. I came in on a non-busy Friday night, around 8PM. It's an order at the counter type place and there was no line. Given the "Chipotle" style menu, where you pick a grain, protein, and side, I figured this would be a quick to-go order - nope, totally wrong. Off the bat, the cashier who took our order was not knowledgeable of the menu and not efficient at all. She struggled taking in our order even though it was so matter of fact - "I want noodles, spicy pork, and side of sweet potato fries." What's so hard about that? I also later saw her cutting the meat (looked like she had never handled food before), while the owner looked on behind her shaking his head. That was strange, since there were 3 other people behind the counter doing who knows what. Anyway, we ordered 3 very simple plates. It took 30 minutes to prepare, which is an unreasonable amount of time for this simple menu. Thankfully I checked the order prior to leaving because they had missed one of our sides, which took an additional 5 minutes. Again, the same girl did a poor job reconciling the receipt taped on the bag to what was actually in the bag. Lastly, once I get home to eat my meal, I was totally disappointed by the small quantity of meat received (spicy pork). Only a few pieces of meat and tons of white noodles for $10??? On the contrary, the chicken meal was a whole half chicken. Taste wise, the meat was dry and not up to standard. All in all this place is representative of terrible service, so so tasting food, small quantities, and unreasonable wait times. Never again.

I was really feeling some pho, but I didn't realize that they only served it on Wednesdays. No problem, their bun looked pretty good and so I got that. However, before any of this even happened, I stood in line for around 30 minutes with only 4 people in front of me. Keep in mind, this is during lunch time on a work day. I don't have hours to wait for food. In fact, I have exactly 1 hour. 30 minutes standing in a short line just to ORDER food? Questionable. The food took about 5-10 minutes, which wasn't too bad. I ordered a bun with mom's chicken WITHOUT green onions. Imagine my surprise when I get my bowl of food and I find it covered with green onions. I had to spend more time picking out the green onions. If there are people with allergies, keep in mind that they don't listen to what you want or don't want because they don't seem like they care about their customers. While the food was decent, service was so poor that I am not inclined to come back. There are plenty of restaurants around the area.

i do not eat out often, but like to eat something I would not like to make myself. Yummy. Good food, great service. Really unmatched. No way I could do this on my own. The owners make sure you love it. Try the pork over rice. So good! So glad they are nearby. Love their story and the food. Give them a try!

The food here is great and love the Mom and Pop that own it. We bring our own wine, which the owners were a little new at. So with our wine and their food we had a great night for under $25. The half chicken is fantastic.

We are currently having to eat every meal out because of a flood in our kitchen and have eaten at Eleven46 several times. I have to say, each meal surpasses the last! Honestly, it is so delicious, it has now become my favorite restaurant. As a vegetarian, it is not always easy to find food that is flavorful. Generally you get the same options - salads or some bland grilled vegetable dish. Not the case here! Hands down BEST tofu I have ever eaten in my life. The seasoning makes everything pop with flavor. So far, I've tried their Wonton Salad, Lemongrass Tofu, and Grilled Vegetable Baguette - all mouth-watering delicious. This morning we went for breakfast so my partner could try their Pork Buns - HUGE, by the way, and full of flavor - and I decided to have the Beignets and Coffee. Halfway through the decadent joy of eating the beignets, the owner (who is delightful and always makes time to greet everyone), came over with a plate of tofu and green beans as a treat for me to try. I was already so full, but couldn't resist, and OH MY, what a perfect breakfast meal for me! Packed with flavor and so healthy. Best, Best, Best place to eat in Orange County! If I could, I would give it infinite stars on yelp!

This restaurant has excellent price, quality of ingredients, cooking quality, and service. I ordered the lemongrass beef banh mi, which was HUGE with a large amount of meat in it! I absolutely hate when a sandwich is mostly bread (poor man status). I ordered french fries as my side, which were cooked perfectly. I was also able to try the asian cole slaw with mint dressing, That was pleasantly pleasing, but the person I was dining with did not care for it. Oh well. I was also given sweet rolls (delicious) with my meal. At the end of the meal, I had a Vietnamese iced coffee and beignets. They were fresh and hot. The coffee definitely kept me going throughout the day. Staff is friendly, and food is cooked when you order so expect to wait. Not everything is as fast as a microwave.

Happy to have found this spot. Full flavor, fresh cuisine. Excellent prices for the high quality of food. Had the Banh Mi spicy pork sandwich on their fresh baked bread w/a side of asian slaw...so delicious! Loved the soda chanh too. I will definitively be back to try more things on the menu. Nice atmosphere/vibe and very friendly service.

Had some take out for some beef pho. Found out they packaged the raw meat separately. The meat was blood red, it's actually against California code to let customers take home raw meat from a restaurant.

The food was delicious and customer service was exceptional! If you're looking for pho, they only serve it on Wednesday and Saturday. I ordered the lemongrass beef noodles with a side of sweet potato fries and shrimp spring rolls. The noodles were well made and all and all very flavorful. The sweet potato fries came with a red/orange sauce that was a great balance to fried foods with a little spice and refreshing taste. The shrimp rolls are a little different having cucumber which makes it taste refreshing against the peanut sauce. The owner gave us drinks on the house just because it was so hot outside and ensured we had a good meal.

No MSG in the pho! (Pho served only on Wednesdays and Saturdays) Not to mention a fantastic Vietnamese iced coffee (much better than Lee's) and beignets that are fresh and fried only when you order them. Yes, one of the most savory, authentic, and msg-free bowls of pho that i have found in SoCal. Ask the owners if they put MSG in the soup...I dare you. I have enjoyed many bowls in Little Saigon, 79, 54, Lu, Kimmy, Pasteur, which were all pretty good. However at Eleven46, it has a flavor profile that is very different than the others. I would highly recommend it to those who enjoy pho noodle soup. Their motto is "when you're here, you're home." I feel like this describes the soup...it's the recipe that the owners would serve their own family. The other reviews are accurate in describing the service at busy times of the day, accuracy of orders, speed of service, all things that the owners are aware of and pledge to improve. I think they would appreciate any feedback. They seem to authentically care about the customers they serve and love feeding us! If you are looking for cheaper Vietnamese options, then yes, GG and Westminster is where you should be. I am thankful that there is a great option for Vietnamese food in Foothill Ranch. Keep up the great work Eleven46! We don't need another fast food chain! I love supporting this local business.

More people need to know about this place. These people care so much about their customers. Oftentimes when it's not busy, they serve free appetizers including egg flower soup and sweet dinner rolls. The owner is very friendly. The food is very fresh and I consider it very Americanized Vietnamese food...But this place is up the street from my house and very convenient. And I can't complete this review without saying HOW THANKFUL I am for a place that has beignets.... they're hard to find, unless you go to downtown disney for them but thats a hassle. The beignets are so fresh, fluffy, warm and dusted perfectly with the right amount of sugar. But be careful, they are messy!

Tried the special bah mi sandwich, good a little to be desired on the meat. Bread was fresh. Fries eeh. Definitely ask for the cucumber, cilantro, jalapeños they Mae the sandwich. Man cashier was super nice. Gave us an extra beignet and comp soup. My daughter and I came for a date lunch and this was perfect. I made a point to look at other customers food and there's looked great. The spicy pork w rice looked good and also the pork spring rolls which we will try next time. Bathroom and restaurant were very clean!

I am almost wanting to give two stars but because the service was so nice and the restaurant clean I'm giving 3. Perhaps it is just what I chose to order as I don't see why this restaurant is getting such good reviews. I had the tri-tip sandwich with fries. The servings were plentiful. The fries were decent. My issue is that there was barely any meat or cheese on the sandwich. The roll was very large so I couldn't even taste the meat and certainly couldn't find much cheese. There were also some veggies on the sandwich. The bread was fresh and the veggies and dip made it taste good but if I'm ordering a tri-tip sandwich I'd like a decent serving of tri-tip. Not a few slivers of meat I won't come back.

I've been here quite a few times and each time I have not been disappointed. The pho is herby and "lemongrassy". Super hot and flavorful. The lemongrass beef sandwich is something I actually crave. The spicy pork tacos are very nice and spicy...a ton of flavors!!!! The meals come with sides like fries or sweet potato fries with are just ok. But you can't leave without trying the beignets!! They are larger than any other beignet I've ever had. They are served hot and covered in powdered sugar (maybe a little too much) and they melt in your mouth. The only real drawback is the environment: it's always cold inside and not very inviting. They need to warm up the space both physically and aesthetically.

Upon walking into this place it was easy to see why so many people complained about the wait for the food, even though it wasn't that long. It looks like a chipotle but it's a sit down place with restaurant quality dishes. 3 friends and I ordered, I ordered the spicy pork on bread with asian slaw. It came after about 25 minutes. The ambiance was good, but I'm from Colorado visiting so our group decided to go outside and enjoy the cool night. The food was great. The bread of the sandwich was unique and tasty, the meat was spiced to perfection, and the slaw was delicious. The only suggestion would be on the slaw, to make it spicier. The egg on top of the sandwich was a great touch, but I could have done without the parsley. Then the owner brought out the signature, most delicious, and most surprising part of the evening was the iced green tea with jasmine and lotus flower. HOLY COW! I am not a fan of sweet tea but the aromatics were so delicious it didn't matter. ORDER THIS the next time you go. It's refreshing and delicious. We also got the beignets. HOLY COW! order this next time. SOOO good. The last thing I will say about this amazing place is the owner was a gracious host. He made several jokes and was open about sharing details of his past related to the meals. He was charming and knowledgable and made the experience a 5. I can't wait to visit again!

If you're looking for good tasting Vietnamese food, this is definitely the place. If you're looking for a great deal, more bang for your buck type of place, this may not be it. The customer service is good, I'll give them that, but I think the best thing here are their sides. The actual meet and rice were good, but not great. Thai Tea was also a bit bland. I guess Yelp just hyped up the place a little too much for me?

After having moved to Lake Forest from Fountain Valley, the choices of Vietnamese cuisine became slim. Although there are a handful of Vietnamese restaurants in LF, they are not as good as the places in Bolsa and the surrounding areas. They also aren't as cheap. This place is a nice place inside and very friendly staff but it's pretty expensive for what it is and 2.5 times the prices of other viet places. I got the beef with lemongrass flavor and rice. Hubby got the special chicken. It was good, but not for the price. Also, IMO there was way too much rice to the ratio of the beef. However, I will absolutely give another star for having beignets!! Not very common at all around here. They were delicious, puffy and warm. Watch out for the powdered sugar on your mouth or you'll end up looking like a crackhead :)

Wow, the standards have really gone down to give this 4-5 stars. They gave me a $3 hole in the wall meal and charged me $11. The pork over noodles was a pathetic, tasteless disappointment. The only reason they get 2 stars is for the dip that comes with the sweet potato fries. Will never go back. I feel ripped off.

This place is definitely overrated. - the portions were really small (I ordered lemon grass beef; there was only 6 small pieces of meat on the rice) - the table tops were super dirty - bathroom was nasty Do not let the rating trick you, and do not bother with trying this place.

Save yourself the disappointment and do not order the lemongrass beef over rice. The beef itself was dry and bland and the onions that came with it tasted like it was scraped off the bottom of the pan. My boyfriend got the spicy pork banh mi which he had no complaints about and after having a few bites myself, it made me instantly regret not getting one of the sandwiches. The pork spring rolls were good (they're the type with the crispy eggroll wrapper inside), but I've had better. The sauce that it comes with was a little too sweet compared to what I'm used to. Good thing we got the beignets--they were fresh and perfectly fluffy that I almost forgot about how bad the beef was. Almost. My other mistake was going here for dinner. This place definitely seems more like a lunch time spot. Also, not sure if it's because I came so late in the day, but the one soda machine they had had three sodas that ran out and there were little notes taped to it indicating so--a bit tacky in my opinion; makes it seem like the place isn't very well maintained. All in all, I highly doubt I'll be back, unless I'm really feening for some beignets.

I want to like this place more, but it's a palette challenge when they put too much sugar in their food. The servings were pretty good. I had a Chicken Roti and in my opinion it tasted like Filipino Adobo sweetened instead of a Vietnamese dish.

Fresh fresh fresh and delicious. Our family goes here all the time! They're super friendly. It's not a long wait for your food. The parking at lunch time can be challenging because it's a small lot but if you wait for a few minutes people come and go pretty regularly. There seems to be some food available that's not on the menu. They always bring a small bite to eat while you wait for to go orders. Once they brought me a coconut dessert that was very good but I've never seen it on the menu. I think they also have some kind of wonton soup that was delicious. Pho is available wednesday and saturday.

This place looks very deceiving as it looks and feels like any other restaurant in the area; however, i must say the vietnamese cuisine here is the best in the South OC area. Their Banh Mi is excellent especially the spicy pork. Their chicken noodle and rice dishes are yummy and my wife especially loves the Lemon Grass Beef Dish. I especially enjoyed Grilled Chicken Breast and or Roti Chicken with bread or noodles. They aren't the fastest when it comes to preparing the food but they do take their time and make an excellent meal. And the best part about their food is that it doesn't feel heavy afterwards. If you are craving a vietnamese noodle or sandwich place in the South OC area - this is your place. Remember Pho is only served on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I just came here once. The place was empty (non-peak hour) which was concerning. However the gal who helped me was very nice. The food which I took home to eat was delicious. The cost was pretty reasonable, too. Would return.

I have come to this restaurant 5 times and have tried almost everything on the menu. Everything tastes like you are eating a home cooked meal. I have to say their food is pretty tasty. The spicy pork is hands down my favorite dish. I have also tried their iced coffee drinks and the "cloudy" is my go to drink. The owner and his staff are always super friendly and very attentive. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent service and mouth watering food. The spicy pork bahn mi is hands down the best bahn mi sandwich ever made. They make it fresh when you order. The spicy sauce and juicy pork doused with pickled veggies on top is the ultimate combo for your taste buds. The chicken roti is equally as delicious. It is so juicy and tender the meat falls right off the bones. The sauce is the perfect pair to the succulent chicken. Try the side of slaw for the perfect flavor. Fresh and crispy and not over drenched in sauce. The portions here are huge so make sure you come w an appetite! The best part about this place is the homeliness. You feel like you are sitting at the table in your mom's kitchen while they fire up the grill to make your food fresh. The staff is always so generous and accommodating. We love and frequent this place and so far we have tried their beignets and morning buns as a complimentary gesture!

Came here after hiking at whiting ranch wilderness. Customer service was great, however the food is average. I had: 1). spicy pork with lemon grass noodles- was not spicy; average tasting pork; combination with fries was a little weird with this entree 2). pork eggrolls- freshly fried, tastes good with the right balance of pork and vegetables

Their food is good. Not the best Vietnamese I've had, nor the worst. What puts this restaurant WAY over the top is their unbelievable service. I don't know if the personal attention we received would be less on a busier night but we will definitely be back to test it. Based on the service alone I would give Eleven46 more than 5 stars if possible. This place is off the beatin' path so look for it, and go! Also, there is a vast difference between POOR service and SLOW service. Please read the negative reviews carefully!

We ordered the lemongrass tofu noodle bowl, sweet potato fries, spring roll, pork sandwich with regular fries and beignets. Everything was good but second only to the great attitude of the people who work here! Young was the nicest person I've met in a long time and the people who dined while we were there were all very happy and this restaurant has a great vibe. If you are into homemade style Vietnamese food then this is for you. They do Pho on Wednesday nights so we will have to stop in to try it. They also have this amazing sriracha sauce to dip fries in or put on your sandwich, spicy but very tasty! We will definitely go back.

Although the staff is extremely friendly, the food is meh. I paid about $9.00 for mediocre vermicelli, which was topped with about 5 pieces of lemongrass beef. I asked for a side of mixed greens. I guess their idea of mixed greens is a stack of iceberg lettuce and a sliced tomato. Uh no, not even close. I won't be going again.

Found this place by accident. I wish it was much closer because I would go at least once a week. Food is very tasty, service is really good and the atmosphere is welcoming. If they ever decide to open any other locations, I hope they open one either in Ladera Ranch or in south Irvine.

I have driven by this spot dozens of times and finally ate there this evening and boy am I sorry I didn't dine here sooner! The staff was friendly and the beef pho I had was incredible! The portions are substantial and the quality and flavor of my meal was off the charts good. I strongly recommend 1146 Kitchen and will be back again really, really soon!

Been here 3x in the past 10 days! The Pho is incredible and the spicy pork sandwich was to die for. I ordered the chicken and not only was it scrumptious it was enough for 4 meals! I really appreciate the warm family feel and the recipes that have been handed down through a generation. Can't wait to try everything on the menu.

Sketchy at best. That's a strong statement so let me back it up. First off, my wife and I eat Vietnamese cuisine either weekly or bi-weekly. Bun, Pho, Banh Mi... I don't discriminate. I like it all. The more authentic the better. I prefer my Pho with Oxtail and knuckles. I don't mess around. First off the order: I got the spicy pork banh mi, she got the Bun with a side of sweet potato fries. We both found it strange and disturbingly Americanized that you had to order a side with Bun or Pho. No option to not get one. In retrospect the shrimp chips that many other tables had looked quite tasty, however with only 4 sides to choose from, they should all be good. These were not. And it was too much food regardless. My local Bun/Pho joint has a bigger portion of the main course for $3 less. So why am I paying more for less plus pre-packaged, breaded sweet potato fries? My banh mi was ok. Lee's made it seem like a joke, though. And Lee's is a giant chain restaurant so that's not saying much. The bread was ok but nothing to write home about. The pork was tasty but I saw grease oozing into the roll and there weren't nearly enough pickled veggies. The veggies on their own had clearly been pickled with waaay too much sugar in the solution. So overall good but not great. 3 stars. Her bun was not great. We waited 15 minutes for the noodles which is an experience I've never had elsewhere. And when they came the lemon-grass beef tasted like it had over-marinated about 12 hours too long in lemon grass. I think my cat's cat-grass would have tasted about the same. The fish sauce-based sauce for the bun had so much sugar that I was convinced there was puree of Cap'n'Crunch in there. What's wrong with fish sauce, water and a TOUCH of sugar along with some citrus? Not a heap. 1 star. Lastly, the service was poor. The waitress doubled as the cashier and although nice enough, she seemed more interested in speaking with her friends than tracking down our food. It was so late in coming that she apologized twice! I don't know what caused the delay but we weren't the only ones who were inconvenienced. When we ordered they had to "See if we have noodles". Which seems odd since there are THREE items on the menu and one of those is noodles. That's like McDonalds saying they have burgers, mcfish and chicken nuggets... but ran out of chicken nuggets. I mean, noodles are pretty much a staple when you're a Bun/Pho restaurant. 1.5 stars. In summary: mediocre service, major delays in getting our food, too-sweet sauce, too-sweet pickled veggies, greasy pork and beef that tasted like lawnmower clippings. How the hell this place gets 4 stars I have no idea but I recommend Thanh Binh II which is a short drive down Lake Forest, half the price and twice as good. Or Lee's which is a short drive down El Toro, half the price and twice as good.

Came here for lunch today after not knowing what else to eat. I've been interested in this place for awhile now - just never knew what to get. Today I decided to test out a Bahn-mi sammy. I ordered the combo - half sammy with a side. Not a bad prize and definitely enough food to fill you up. Sammy: Special Combination. I'd give this a 2 star rating. I can't base this on anything else because I've never had it before, but it's almost like the "pickled" veg is all you taste? The meat is a little weird, sort of like a mystery meat...not sure what's it made out of. Coworker was like "what the hell is that grey meat you're eating?". Dboy, I don't know... There were a couple of bites that were good, but the way the actual sandwich was composed it was hard to balance everything with a good veg-to-meat ratio, ya know? Side: Asian Slaw. I'd give this shit a 5 star! This was probably the best slaw I've ever had. It has fried shallots in it and a very slight taste of fish sauce that works really well. It's amazing. I'd go back just for that.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this family owned Vietnamese place. I've been there many times and have had a very pleasant experience each time. The owner is always there. He's so friendly and always so nice to us and specially to my 6 year old daughter. He always comes out to say hello and makes a special treat for her. She's usually a picky eater but she looks forward to eating here. The lemongrass tofu and noodles are to die for. It comes in a big pot full of goodness and the beignets are an absolute must!!!

I never do reviews on Yelp but was so disappointed I'm posting. I've eaton a lot of Vietnamese food and have many local places to compare. This place was totally Americanized! First the menu. Most options were combos. Why do I need a side with bun??? Sweet potato fries??? Asian slaw??? At a Vietnamese place??? Second the walk up counter. To casual. Girl at counter was ok. Third the food. We waited over 20 minutes. Worse than that was nothing tasted traditional. There was so much sugar in everything...all you could taste was sweet. The lemongrass beef was so strong it border lined soap. Was not impressed.

Came in here with my buddy. He just would not shut up about this tri tip beef dip sammich they have over here. Came in around 1, walked right up to have my order taken. The guy running the cash register was very nice and explained the menu in detail. Apparently they do pho on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I was here on a Wednesday and love pho, but had to try this tri tip sammich, so that's what I went with. Was not dissapointed. This thing is my new go to whenever I am in the area. Phenomenal. The meat is sliced thin, so its super tender. Its got carrots, cucumbers, cilantro... and the dipping sauce, im salivating right now thinking about it. If you are on the fence about this place, try it out. I wouldnt normally say "hey lets go get vietnamese" but this place is LEGIT!!

I don't write many reviews, but this place inspired me. The Girlfriend and I were looking for a something healthy to eat and didn't even know what we were getting into when we tried this place. We are so glad we came here. I had been craving pho for weeks now, but it's just too hot for soup. The lady at the counter recommended the Spicy pork and we had it with noodles and Asian Slaw. It totally satisfied my pho craving, but it was not hot like soup. SCORE! The pork was much better than I expected and the slaw was amazing. The peanuts in the slaw made it special on it's own. The customer service was top notch. They wee extremely nice and attentive the whole time we were there. They even hooked us up with rolls and pastry. So glad we tried this place. I've already been craving it again and we will definitely be going back.

Had the Vietnamese coffee on several occasions. Felt like I was having heart palpitations each time after finishing. Ergo some strong coffee they're using. Beignets are blah. Anything that has just been fried will taste good, it's just a law of nature. When the beignets cooled off a little they were very bland and the copious amount of powdered sugar they dumped on top ensures nothing more than a quick sugar rush. The banh mi was pretty tasty but for that price it better be. Once I came in after the lunch rush and the tables were filthy and nobody was in any hurry to clean them. As a guest I was very disgusted. Just made the entire joint seem unsanitary.

Nestled in a packed lunchtime strip mall, this place is the diamond in the rough. A very clean and modern décor greets you upon arrival, counter service is available at the bar, or you may order from the register. The chefs are hard at work in the kitchen right alongside the order queue, with only the freshest ingredients on display throughout the assembly line. I have twice ordered the rice noodles with lemongrass beef, which is available with a choice of side, and I opted for the Asian slaw. The beef was tender, perfectly cooked and portioned, the serving of rice noodles was generous, the slaw was only lightly dressed, and the sweet thai chili sauce was the perfect condiment to the whole plate. My boyfriend today ordered the beef dip - which made me raise an eyebrow at first, because why would you order a beef dip at a Vietnamese restaurant? BUT, much to our delight, it was one of the most savory beef dips either of us has ever had. The cheese was creamy and the bread was fresh and flexible as he shoved bite after bite into his mouth! We were seriously sad when we were done eating because it was so delicious, but we were both very satisfied! The dining room has some TV's and a couple of tables outside in the parking lot. I have not yet dined in; only take-out, but the service every time has been quick and courteous both on the phone and in person. One can easily glean that the owners are involved in this restaurant, and in just the right amount. Can't wait to come back!

Let me start off, it was a little bit pricey, but I don't want to drive to Westminster and I actually don't mind paying extra for good food. You really do get a lot of food for that price. The lemongrass noodle with spicy pork has just the right amount of flavor and vegetables. Its actually quite alot of food and you can split it with someone else. We got it with their cole slaw on the side and added it to the noodles for extra veggie goodness. Now that I think about it, that spicy pork was excellent. Their special banh mi sandwich is also really good, but we added the spicy pork to this sandwich as well for more flavor. Don't forget to get ice coffee and the service was excellent as well. Definitely a fan!

I just arrived late to work because I had been savoring three fresh-made beignet (deep-friend French pastries) at Eleven46 accompanied by a perfect cappuccino made by the owner, who then shared his passion for quality food and ingredients with me. This place is the sort I watch Anthony Bourdain visit on TV that makes me jealous. I had the entire place to myself, which really needs to change. You cannot, will not ever get this kind of food and coffee and service at Starbucks. On a hot day try their Vietnamese iced coffee which is rich with sweetened condensed milk. Don't let the delicious sweetness deceive you; that coffee has a potent caffeine kick that stayed with me for hours. I've eaten here twice. The pork sandwich, while good and very spicy, did not do justice to the subtle and savory pork meat due to the abundance of the sweet dressing. That pork was something special, apparently quite difficult to prepare right. They also bake the bread. I will likely order it again and ask them to go easy on the sweet sauce. The cold noodles with spicy pork, however, was marvelous--fragrant, light, pungent, sweet with small fresh veggies and generous serving of pork. I was totally filled up by this light food because there was so much. Despite the abundance, I managed to finish the Asian slaw too because it was just so fantastically fresh and minimalist. They recommended I try the pho made only on Wednesdays. The owner said because of their commitment to quality--no MSG, and the need for a clear broth--their pho takes about 8 hours to make and usually sells out before closing at 9 PM. I'm going to try that and their spring rolls next. Service was slow the first time I came here, but has been great since. This is to be expected from a brand new place that is not a finely tuned fast food restaurant. This area of South OC desperately needs more places like this, and more residents willing to let go of their lowered fast food expectations and try something new. Update: Pho on Wednesday is FANTASTIC. Fragrant, delicate, meaty, balanced...owner recommended I try dipping the thin beef in a sauce of hoisin and sriracha, which was delicious.

A great fast-casual family friendly Vietnamese restaurant. After discovering eleven46 on Yelp as one of the hot new spots in the area my wife and I decided to check it out with our three year old son. The food was very good and the family friendly service was awesome. When my son was picking at his sandwich the owner(?) came by to see if he could make something else that my son might like better. We didn't take him up on his offer as our son was simply playing with his food, but the owner brought out some awesome dinner rolls and kept checking up on us throughout our meal. He even brought us a to go container filled with fresh beignets! It's great to discover a local place that has a great menu, a casual atmosphere, and friendly service that a family of three could eat at for under $30. We will be back!
